LAST GAME: Oct. 22, 5-4 SO loss vs New Jersey: Stempniak's second goal of the season at 19:28 of the third period helped the Devils recover
from what had been a two-goal deficit while his game-deciding goal in the shootout saw New Jersey earn a shootout win on the road for the first time
since 12/13/11 in a 5-4 visitors' triumph. The Senators rebounded from two one-goal deficits courtesy the first shorthanded marker of Zibanejad's career
in addition to Smith's first goal since 10/28/14. Hoffman's fourth goal of the campaign at 2:24 of the third period provided Ottawa with its first lead while
Neil's first marker of the season gave the Senators a 4-2 advantage at 6:38. Zajac and Tootoo scored first period goals for New Jersey while Henrique
and Stempniak tallied inside the final six minutes of regulation to help the Devils force overtime. Cammalleri matched a career high with three assists,
including one on each of New Jersey's two third period goals on a night that saw Neil become only the third player in Senators history to skate in a 900th
game for the club. Schneider made 35 saves to earn his 100th NHL victory while Hammond turned aside 28 shots in taking the loss in goal for Ottawa.
