In Abu Dhabi, Total holds a 100%stake in Abu Al Bukhoosh oil field. The wholly owned subsidiary, Total AbuAl Bukhoosh, is symbolic of Total’s longstanding partnership with the UAEdating back to 1972 and Total ABK hasenabled the Group to exercise the roleof operator in the region of a major fieldin Abu Dhabi.

The ABK field was discovered in 1969,oil production started in 1974 and gasexport in 1992. The field is made up ofthree oil reservoirs and one gas reservoir.117 wells had been drilled as of the endof 2018.

Today, after years of production, a 56% recovery factor has been reached in the

main oil reservoir, to be compared with the industry world average of 35%. Such a performance was made possible by constantly applying state of the art techniques (Enhanced Oil Recovery, Multi lateral wells, Dual Electrical Submersible Pump, etc) thus maximizing the available resource.

As an example of this, since 2015, Total ABK has also been processing the early phase production from Nasr (operated by ADNOC Offshore) maximizing data acquisition and the economic value of this field.

The Total ABK concession has been extended in March 2018 for 3 year until 2021.

The birthplace of Total in the 1920s’, the Middle East accounts for close to a quarter of our global hydrocarbon production today. We have been a value-creating partner for countries and companies here for nearly a century, and we continue to pursue a strategy of excellence and innovation in this region, pivotal to world energy supply.

In the Middle East, we are strongly integrated throughout the entire value chain, from exploration and production, refining and chemicals, gas renewables and power, to distribution and marketing. In these activities, we employ more than 1,000 people fully committed to better energy.

A HISTORICAL POSITION IN A REGION WITH UNIQUE RESOURCES TO DEVELOPIn exploration & production, we have continuously strengthened our presence in the Middle East and developed long-term partnerships with governments and national oil companies (NOCs). In 2017, our main producing countries were the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.

We aim to maintain a strong asset base while seizing growth opportunities. We have built on our successful history in the Middle East and North Africa region to reinforce our portfolio with large, long term and profitable projects. To continue creating value, we also strive to be a leader in key expertise and technologies (such as mature fields, enhanced oil recovery and carbonates) and support emerging plays (such as unconventional).

In Refining and Chemicals we intend to expand our activities in the Middle East – a strategic growth region in terms of feedstock and proximity to markets. In Saudi Arabia, SATORP, a class-leading refining and petrochemicals complex whose capacity has increased from 400,000-barrels-per-day at start-up in 2014 to 440,000-barrel-per-day today, is recognized as one of the most efficient in the world. In 2018, Total and Saudi Aramco signed an agreement on building a giant petrochemical complex downstream of the SATORP refinery to fully exploit operational synergies. The complex will comprise a world-size mixed-feed steam cracker (50% ethane and refinery off-gas) with a capacity of 1.5 million tons per year of ethylene and related high-added-value petrochemical production units. In Qatar, Total is present through participation in two

ROOTED IN THE MIDDLE EASTA VALUE-CREATING PARTNER FOR NEARLY A CENTURY

ethane based crackers and in a condensate refinery. In Algeria, as part of our cooperation with Sonatrach, in 2018 we launched engineering studies for a petrochemical project in Arzew.

Marketing and Services are gaining market share in the countries where we operate, we are expanding our core service station offer, and introducing a range of innovative products and services through partnerships in catering and store management. We also pursue a regional growth strategy for lubricants, based on our production plants in Dubai and Saudi Arabia.

In Gas, Renewables and Power we have made it our ambition for low-carbon business to account for 20% of our portfolio in 20 years, and we are already actively participating in the development of renewable energies, especially solar. With operations spanning the manufacture of high-efficiency photovoltaic panels, ground-based power plants, decentralized systems, storage solutions and marketing to end-customers, we are present across the entire value chain and fast-tracking the deployment of solar technology through our affilialtes SunPower, Total Eren, Total Solar, Saft and Greenflex. In Abu Dhabi, we hold a 20% stake in the solar power plant Shams 1, the largest thermal parabolic concentrated solar power plant in the Middle-East.

HOST COUNTRY COMMITMENT Our long-term partners view our integrated business model and technological know-how as key strengths. We are well known for our ability to manage large projects, and for our knowledge of global markets. Sharing such knowledge is reflected in our training and local employment policies. No other international oil company is as deep rooted, diversified in the region as ours.
