Stevenson’s Doctor of Psychology program is located on the University’s Greenspring campus in the heart of Maryland’s beautiful Greenspring Valley. Originally part of the Seven Oaks estate, the Greenspring campus was the original campus of Stevenson University—then Villa Julie College—when it was founded in 1947

by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. As a tribute to the University’s history and connection to the community, the oaks are memorialized on Stevenson’s academic seal. In 1967, Villa Julie became independent, and in 1972, the school officially became an co-educational institution. In 2008, the college changed its name

to Stevenson University, in recognition of its growing diversity of academic programs.

As Stevenson grew, it expanded to two campuses: the original Greenspring campus and the Owings Mills campus just six miles away. The Greenspring campus is just minutes away from I-83 and the Baltimore Beltway, so students can enjoy an idyllic educational setting while still having convenient access to the Baltimore-Washington suburban and urban areas. The campus also offers a variety of cultural events throughout the year, including theater productions, concerts, and gallery exhibitions.
