We are able to support these ministries locally, nationally, and internationally using our resources including YOUR TIME, TALENT, AND TREASURES. OUR CHARGE is to encourage support for Christian based organizations that provide a UNIQUE service. We seek to have the greatest PEOPLE impact possible with our contribu- tions. We strive not to dilute our contributions by supporting too many agencies. All agen- cies should be examined annually with regard to their mission, need, open communication, financial responsibility (audited) and com- patibility with the core mission goals of our church. Local organizations should be stable, offer HANDS ON opportunity for participa- tion, and present a clear mission statement. ACTION

YOUTH FOR CHRISTwww.manatee.yfc.netRoser donates to the local Manatee County chapter of this organization. Manatee YFC Ministries holds weekly meetings for local youth at each of the elementary, middle, and high schools as well as detention centers, probation, correctional facilities, group homes, residential treatment centers and emergency shelters. Through our youth, YFC reaches out to families. Manatee YFC is asking God to raise up an army of caring adults who will establish relationships with kids around the area. Volunteers are needed to serve directly with students, intercessors, financial partners, and help in the office. Their mission to reach local teens with the message that God loves them and has a plan for their lives.

OUR DAILY BREAD of Bradenton www.ourdailybreadofbradenton.orgOur Daily Bread was organized in 1984 in response to our community’s need to feed the hungry. Our Daily Bread of Bradenton is a community-driven organization that provides free daily meals to all who are hungry. Roser extends two hands to this group: financial backing as well as people to serve the meals. Over twenty families are on the list of helpers called to help. We work on the second

Monday of every month, and on the 5th Sunday (four times a year.) Every volunteer comes away from the task grateful for the

experience. Feeding the hungry is just part of the bigger picture that offers help to the homeless. (Did you know there are more that 2000 homeless children in Manatee County?)

MERCY SHIPSwww.mercyships.org Offering waves of mercy and bringing hope and healing to the world’s forgotten poor. Africa is massive in size and NEED. Yet, in a land filled with poverty, disease, limited health care... Mercy Ships is a compassionate response to a world in need. Following the 2000-year-old model of Jesus, Mercy Ships seeks to become the face of love in action, bringing hope and healing to the world’s forgotten poor. Utilizing the world’s largest non-governmental hospital ship, Mercy Ships transforms lives... bringing free medical care, hope and healing to the world’s forgotten poor.

AGAPE FLIGHTSwww.agapeflights.comThe vision is a world where missionaries never lack resources to share the unconditional love of Christ. The mission is to provide excellent aviation service delivering cargo, mail and humanitarian aid to missionaries. Nearly 13 million people live in the areas regularly reached by Agape’s flights to Haiti, the Dominican Republic and the Bahamas. The supplies transported to more than 350 missionaries are used to change lives, one person at a time. Each year, Agape Flights touches the lives of more than 1.5 million men, women and children through its affiliated missionaries who provide clean water, community health, education, evangelism, medical services, microenterprise, orphan care and vocational training.

ALL ISLAND DENOMINATIONS (AID) The purpose of this non-profit Christian organization founded in 1982 is to offer charitable assistance to those persons in

need on Anna Maria Island and/or members of one of the island congregations. AID accepts requests for

financial help, generally on a one-time only basis to a particular client. AID assists island families with groceries through the AID/Roser Food Pantry housed here at Roser Church. Non-perishable groceries are available weekdays by appointment (call 778-0414). AID also sponsors and organizes annual worship services. This non-profit organization is run by the six churches on Anna Maria Island. It is governed by both clergy and lay leaders – all volunteering their time.

HOPE SEEDSwww.hopeseeds.org Hope Seeds is a a non-profit Christian charitable company which supplies quality vegetable and garden seeds to the hungry and hurting of our world, and teaching good gardening practices toward a more sustainable solution to world hunger. Hope Seeds distributes its product via Christian missionaries and/or mission teams from many denominations to help feed the whole person - body, mind, and soul. ten varieties and species chosen for the climate and culture of the nation they are being sent to. It is free of charge. Plant A Seed! Feed A Soul!
