The StoryIn the summer of 2009, AWAKE Churches, a Pentecostal denomination with churches in Zimbabwe, Mocambique, South Africa, and Botswana, came under the leadership of Christopher Alam with the intention of merging with Dynamis World Ministries. AWAKE brought with them a farm of 400 hectares, which is 1000 acres, of prime farmland that had been purchased by the ministry approximately 17 years ago. The farm has since then lain uncultivated and unused. It consists of 650 acres that are tillable and clear for cultivation, and 350 acres that consist of small trees and brush.

The LocationThe farm is located just outside the city of Kadoma in Central Zimbabwe, in the middle of the “agricultural belt” of the country. The main cross-country highway, railroad, and grain and produce collection point and market are only 3 miles away.

The Vision STEP 1: Our !rst vision is to

develop this farm and bring it under full cultivation.

Zimbabwe has had severe shortages of food and

therefore bringing this farm into the production of food is

very important.

STEP 2: Our next step would be to build an orphanage where

the orphans shall be brought up in “family units” living in homes

under godly house-parents who shall care for them with a good solid Christian upbringing. The

regular !nancial support and upkeep of the orphanage shall

be from the income of the farm.

STEP 3: A 1-year Church Planting School where we shall train church-planters and send them out to plant churches. As

in our church-planting operations in Southeast Asia,

the goal is to send them out and support them for one year after

which the churches shall be self-supporting. These

operations shall also be supported by the farm.
