At the start of my internship I was uncertain about
working with persons with intellectual challenges

my lessons better. At the end of my internship, I'm
wishing I could be there another week! I've gained

HIGHLIGHTS OF 2017
SOMETHING FOR NOTHING CLUB
A 94.3 FM Radio One initiative to connect people and various NGOs to
share their time and talent, to do Something For Nothing. Diya had a
chance to have sessions on Yoga, dog-therapy with Suzy, the lovable
Golden Retriever, and playing rugby with Zaffar Khan. These were fun
filled days from which the trainees benefitted immensely. Stepping In
gave us space at the Taj Wes End Christmas Bazaar. In association with
Radio One, we set up the Tree of Hope & many large-hearted people
sponsored Christmas gifts for our trainees. Thank you Radio One!
TCS WORLD 10K 2017
The 9th Edition of the TCS World 10k was a big
success for us. We had the support of eMids as
Corporate Care Champions. Radio One 94.3 FM
did a month long coverage for us and invited
listeners to run with the Diya team and RJ Kay.
RAINING GOALS
An inter corporate 5-a-side football tournament
was held in October 2017 as a fundraising event
for the Diya programs. Our partners for the event
were Bengaluru Football Club, Radio One 94.3,
Stirred Creative, & VENTURES.
SAHYOG 2018
An annual event at Christ University that invites different NGOs and
gives them an opportunity to showcase their talent. The trainees
enjoyed the hospitality shown to them by the students of Christ
University and are looking forward to going there next year as well.
REBOOT 2017
An annual inter corporate dance competition
organized by Ventures gave our trainees the
opportunity to put up a performance and a
platform to create awareness about our work.
