March 7, Saturday, DAY 1 – ARRIVAL MEXICO CITYDepart Newark airport for Mexico City. Upon arrival, we are greeted by our tour escort and transferred to the hotel. Overnight Mexico City. (D)

March 8, Sunday, DAY 2: MEXICO CITY: OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE SHRINEMorning buffet breakfast at the hotel. Today we have the entire morning at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Patroness of the Americas where we celebrate Mass (TBC). We then visit the Plaza of Three Cultures, the baptismal site of Juan Diego. Time permit-ting, we visit Parroquia de la Sagrada Familia (Church of the Holy Family) to see the Shrine of Blessed Miguel Pro (Priest, Master of Disguise, Martyr). In the afternoon visit the Pyra-mids of the Sun and the Moon. Lunch is included. Overnight Mexico City. (B, L, D)

March 9, Monday, DAY 3: MEXICO CITYMorning buffet breakfast at the hotel. Our full-day tour of Mexico City starts with a visit to the Metropolitan Cathedral, where Blessed Juan Diego’s Bishop, Juan de Zumarraga, is buried and Zocalo Square (Main Square from the time of the Aztecs). Mass is celebrated at the Cathedral (TBC). Visit the National Palace, now the seat of the Mexican Government. At the Church of Santo Domingo, we see two shrines- Our Lady of Rosary and Our Lady of Cavadonga - we have time to explore both. Our tour continues to Xochimilco where we will journey through its channels in one of its brightly colored “Trajineras” (Mexican Boats). Enjoy dinner in a local restaurant tonight. Overnight Mexico City. (B, Special Dinner)

March 10, Tuesday, DAY 4: CUERNAVACA – TAXCOMorning buffet breakfast at the hotel. We start with a visit to Cuernavaca, the “City of Eternal Spring” to see the Borda Gardens and Palace of Cortes, housing murals by Diego Rivera, the famous Mexican artist. Our next stop is Taxco. Words cannot describe this mag-nificent place, only a feeling, and one must go there to experience the sensations brought about by a visit to this “City in the Clouds.” We have time to bargain for silver treasures and see the mines from which the silver come. A late afternoon visit to the Church of Santa Prisca, where we celebrate Mass (TBC). Time will be scheduled for shopping and exploring the market and many artisan shops that line the narrow cobblestone streets. Overnight Taxco. (B, D)

March 11, Wednesday, DAY 5: CHOLULA – PUEBLA Morning buffet breakfast. We board our motorcoach for a drive to Puebla - City of the Angels and Churches. Our ride today takes us through the famous Cortes Pass. On the way, we see Cholula, a town affluent in Mexican history. Cholula is where the world-fa-mous “Cinco de Mayo” (May 5th) battle occurred. Cholula also claims to have a Chapel for every day of the year! Here we see what’s reputed to be the largest pyramid in the

world. On top of the pyramid lies the Church of Our Lady of Good Remedy. Later, we visit the Church of Tonantzintla, where the most beautiful example of Indo-Christian decoration can be admired. Continue to Puebla, the fourth largest city in Mexico and a great example of Spanish colonial architecture. The Puebla region is famous for its beautiful Churches and its hand-painted “Talavera” tiles. We visit the unforgettable Chapel of the Rosary. Celebrate Mass at Santa Clara (TBC). We then visit the Cathedral, Santo Domingo Church, the Santa Monica religious museum, and Church of St. Francis to see the incorrupt body of Blessed Sebastian. In the afternoon, we have time to shop in the open-air market and bargain for souvenirs and silver. Overnight Puebla. (B, D)

March 12, Thursday, DAY 6: SAN MIGUEL – OCOTLANBuffet breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, we visit San Miguel del Milagro (site of the apparition of St. Michael to Diego Lazaro). Our next stop is Tlaxcala City for a visit to the Monastery of San Francisco-one of the first Catholic buildings in Mexico. The city is known as the Lourdes of Mexico because of its miraculous statue and spring water. We continue to Ocotlan, where we see the Shrine of Our Lady of Ocotlan. It was here where an image of Our Lady appeared in a burning tree. We have time to fill our bottles with water from the healing well. We celebrate Mass here in Ocotlan before continuing on to Mexico City. Tonight we en-joy a special farewell dinner at a local restaurant with music. Overnight Mexico City. (B, Special Dinner)

March 13, Friday, DAY 7: MEXICO CITY – RETURN TO USABuffet breakfast at the hotel. We are transferred to the airport for our return flight to Newark Airport. (Breakfast)

Baggage: Each participant is permitted to check (1) suitcase weighing no more than 50 lbs., and one small carry-on bag on the plane. Airline baggage fees are not includ-ed.
