SAFFRON KITCHENSaffron Kitchen, who prepare and provide the school Lunch Orders are looking for volunteers to help with the delivery of these meals.

We cur rent ly have volunt eers t o collect and deliver m eals on Monday, Thursday and Fr idays lunch t im es and would appreciat e it i f we were able t o get volunt eers for Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Saffron Kitchen is the Cafe located at the Wyndham Vale Community Centre. They make all meals fresh and on site.

If you are able to assist, please speak to Ray at the Cafe.

It would be disappointing if they were no longer able to provide this

School At hl et ics and Tabl oids Congratulations to House Kavanagh - Green - for winning hotly contested sports carnival last Friday. The four houses were separated by only 300 points with nearly 15 000 points awarded from Prep - Year Six.

Thank -you to the families that attended and assisted. A special thank-you to all the staff , under the guidance of Jannine, our sports teacher, in the organisation of the day.

ALTAR SERVERS - st andr ew's par ish

Children in Years 4 - 6 who have received the Sacrament of the Eucharist are to be encouraged to think about being active members at parish masses by being altar servers. It is open to both boys and girls. There is a workshop to be held on Friday, November 25th at the Parish commencing at 6pm. One of our assistant priests will be out to speak to the children over the next week. Please have a conversation at home about this as it is a wonderful experience.

SCHOOL MASS - NOVEMBER Thank you to the parents who attended our Mass today with Fr. Darien. It was a wonderful celebration with a selection of children recalling what they have learnt over the year:

Adrienne (Prep) - how to speak Mandarin

James (One) - how to be part of a community

Summer (Two) - learnt the Hail Mary

Lorrie (Three) - how to skip in PE

Mikayla (Four) - how to improve her writ ing of stories

Anuki (Five) - robotics with Brian

Murron (Six) - assisting a community group by running a basketball clinic

ST ANDREWS PARISH FAIR 2016 - UNLIMITED RIDES WRISTBANDS

The school has again been provided with wristbands that can be pre-purchased for the Parish Fair. Wristbands pre purchased are $30.00 each or they can be purchased on the day for $35.00 each. The wristbands allow the wearer to unlimited rides on the day of the Fair, but cannot be used for Pony Rides.

If you wish to purchase a wristband, please see Ruki or Jane.

SEMESTER 2 REPORTS

We are offering the opportunity to have Semester 2 reports emailed to parents this year. If you are interested in having your childs report emailed, we ask that you confirm your email address by responding to: reports@olscwyn.catholic.edu.au

OLSC is on the St Andrew?s Fair ?Spinning Wheel '

? WE NEED YOUR HELP!!

The fair is coming around quickly (Saturday 19th November) and Our Lady of the Southern Cross School and Wyndham Faith Community are taking on the Spinning Wheel this year and we need your support.

We would like to ask all families to donate new toys, household items, toiletries, and gif ts items to be used as prizes on the Spinning Wheel. Please help us to make this a success. Each Learning group will have a box for your donations. We ask that students bring them to the home group in the morning.
