Our main target audience would be teenagers, seeming as the main character and protagonist is a teenager herself meaning the target audience, teenagers, is able to relate to her age and problems and her attendance to school. Also constant themes of relationships and friendships in our thriller opening, encouraging our target audience of teens, to relate to her friendship issues and bonds. To be even more specific I think our target audience is teenage girls, because of the fact Jodie the protagonist is a teenage girl who expresses issues with herself and her confidence, also her feelings of loneliness, her mental state and her focus on her personal appearance in the thriller opening. Shown clearly when she looks at herself in the mirror and fixes her hair. Although this doesnt mean Im suggesting our only target audience is teenagers or teenage girls. Neurosis is suited to all audiences who enjoy psychological thrillers or films set in schools. Also adults who watch our thriller who may be able to remember and relate to the themes and conventions Jodie shows throughout the film opening.
