Company ProfilePetrotrin is the state-owned integrated oil and gas company of Trinidad and Tobago engaged in the full range of petroleum operations including the exploration for, development and production of hydrocarbons and the manufacturing and marketing of petroleum products.This company was incorporated on January 21, 1993 to consolidate and operate the petroleum producing, refining and marketing assets of State-owned enterprises: Trinidad and Tobago Oil Company Limited (Trintoc) and Trinidad and Tobago Petroleum Company Limited (Trintopec).In 2000, we acquired the assets of Texaco Inc in the joint venture Trinmar Limited, making that entity a part of its Exploration and Production operations.As a state enterprise, Petrotrin is under the direct control of the Minister of Finance as Corporation Sole. The Ministry of Energy and Energy Affairs is the line ministry that provides specialized technical analyses and statutory approvals for the companys operations, while ensuring adherence to Governments policy guidelines.We are the largest crude oil producer in Trinidad and Tobago.Today, we operate in land and marine acreage across the southern half of Trinidad. Some of our operations include a number of joint venture relationships with multinational energy companies.We operate the only petroleum refinery in the country strategically located to supply the Caribbean, Central America and the U.S. markets. Our refinery has a full conversion capacity of up to 168,000 bpd and average throughput of approximately 127,650 bpd. As we continue to be a leading supplier of petroleum products to our markets, we remain committed to implementing sustainable practices throughout our companys operations and to providing value to the people of Trinidad and Tobago.
