History of AeroClave (cont.)

2008-2009• Development of a Portable Asset

Decontamination System (PADS) in Winter Park, FL

• 30’, 60’ or 100’ chamber configuration

• EMS, fire and law enforcement use this chamber to sterilize their vehicles

2009-2014

• Development of Room Decontamination System (RDS)

• Sterilizes rooms up to 8,000 cubic ft.

• Simply move from room to room

• Development of the Hydra System for building integration

• Development of Ambulance Decontamination System (ADS)

AeroClave Process

• AeroClave solution is evenly applied onto surfaces in two different ways.

• Hand-applied* – for spot-treating and quick decontamination of high-contact areas

• Fogging – for total decontamination of desired treatment area

Hand-applied method* Fogging method

*Use of PPE may be necessary depending on solution being used

Pulsed Application Process(Fogging)

1. Injection Phase: In this phase, the decontamination solution is aerosolized and applied evenly to the treatment area. A typical injection phase will last anywhere from 10-30 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area.

2. Dwell Phase: Once the injection phase has completed, the treatment area is allowed to sit in a dwell period for a minimum of five minutes. The dwell period gives the aerosolized solution an opportunity to evenly distribute throughout the treatment area, ensuring full coverage on all surfaces.

3. Aeration Phase: The aeration phase is when the solution is removed from the treatment area. This can be done in various ways; reenergizing the facility HVAC, providing external ventilation, promoting air circulation, etc. The solution will also naturally break itself over a period of time, if none of these aeration options are available,

Room Conditioning

Injection Dwell Aeration

• Injection time is typically 5-30 minutes (depending on size of space)

• Much faster than most other technologies

• Dwell cycle time is typically 5-10 minutes

• Many other technologies must reach micro-condensation before going into dwell

• Aeration is dependent on HVAC system or exterior ventilation

• Average Total Cycle Time (start to finish) is about 45 minutes

Typical AeroClave Cycle
