Recreation and Ready is a recreation
program, catering for people with a disability
aged 6 years and over.
It incorporates regular Friday night, Satur-
day and Sunday outings throughout the year
and peak holiday periods, as well as local,
interstate and overseas holidays.
R&R’s major focus is to broaden the hori-
zons of recreational opportunities available
to our participants.
The service caters for children, teenagers
and adults and aims to provide fun activities
according to participant interests.
Our children’s (6—12 years) program
meets fortnightly on Saturday or Sunday
to access community venues such as in-
door play centres, adventure play-
grounds, ten pin bowling centres,
swimming pools, zoos, theme parks etc
.
Our teenage (13-17 years) and adult
(18 years+) programs also access the
community each Saturday and Sunday for
activities such as movies, BBQs, picnics,
river cruises, beach trips, zoo’s and other
places of interest.
They also have the opportunity to attend
regular social evenings at restaurants,
discos, sporting events, movies and
