The Museum-Diorama «Kursk Bulge»

The museum-diorama "Kursk Bulge" has opened the doors on August, 4th, 1987. Here interesting materials about commanders are collected: N.F.Vatutin, I.S.Konev, M.E.Katukov, M.S.Shumilov, P.A.Rotmistrov, A.S.Zhadov and about private soldiers of great fight. The weapon, awards, personal things, documents, photos and other subjects recreate shape of defenders of Fatherland.

The Drama Theatre by Shchepkin

Belgorod Drama Theatre is named after one of the famous 19th-century actors Mikhail Shchepkin who was born in our region.

Belgorod State University

In 1876 a Teachers’ Institute for training teachers was opened in Belgorod. 26 students began to study there.

Since 1920 it has been an Institute of People’s Education.

in 1994 the institute was re-named into Belgorod State Pedagogical University. In 2000- into Belgorod State University.

The new building of the State University was built in 2004.

There are 32,000 students in it.

Belgorod Land Study Museum

Here you can visit many exhibits halls, where old clothes, things of house keeping are displayed, makets of rare birds and animals of Belgorod district, plants those are in the Red Data Book.

The Central Park of Culture and Rest

In Belgorod there are many beautiful places of interest.

One of them is the Central Park of Culture and Rest.

People like to spend their free time here.

Sobornaya Square

Sobornaya Square is the heart of Belgorod. It is the place, where mass demonstrations, festivals and meetings are held.
