Board PassagesGARY BISHOP, BOARD MEMBER DIES

We grieve the loss of Gary Bishop, a beloved member of our Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee who faithfully served for 14 years. A disciple of Christ, a ministry leader, and a gentleman rancher, Gary passed away at his home from a heart attack on October 26, 2015. He was 68. He leaves behind Donna, his wife of 47 years, his two sons and daughters-in-law, and five grandchildren.

“Gary’s decisive leadership, spiritual discernment, and financial savvy were so perfectly balanced by his down-home, big Texas heart. We depended on Gary to ask the right questions, to affirm ministry direction, and to honor both God and our regulators,” said John Pearson, Christian Community Credit Union Board Chair. Visit fc-usa.org/a-heart-for-giving for online donations in Gary’s memory.

DR. EDUARDO FONT, LONG-TIME BOARD MEMBER RETIRES

After serving 23 years as a member of the Credit Union’s Board of Directors, Dr. Eduardo Font retired in October 2015. Dr. Font served on various Credit Union committees including the Missions & Ministries Committee and the Senior Loan Committee.

“It’s been a blessing to have Dr. Font on the Board. His service and dedication has been influential in reaching seminarians, pastors, and church leaders,

as well as the Hispanic Christian community,” said John Walling, Christian Community Credit Union President/CEO. “We will miss his wise counsel and business-minded strategies. We wish him the best as he begins the next chapter in his life.”

2016 Annual Business MeetingChristian Community Credit Union’s Annual Business Meeting will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2016. The meeting will be at our corporate headquarters in San Dimas, CA at 3:00pm.

EDEN PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, BEAVERTON, OR (Construction)

“We tried six different banks to finance our project. While others only focused on their self-interest, Christian Community Credit Union exhibited genuine care. It was truly a blessing to meet the staff who loves the Lord and operates according to His precepts. Everyone we came across had a kind, patient, and humble attitude. The loan process went through smoothly and will allow us to expand so we can accommodate our increasing membership and increase our mission effort.”

Samuel S. Jeong, Secretary of Treasure
