On the brisk wintry evening of Friday 10th February Peckforton and Beeston Village Room swiftly filled up as villagers and friends gathered to take the challenge of a Valentine themed quiz. Love was in the air as Darren took on the role of a firm but fair quiz master. He produced the widest range of questions we have ever been tested with and was confident about the right answers! Topics covered included food, drink, history and sport. We were asked about actors, music, world events and more… The competition halted whilst an exquisite hot supper was served. During this we were all able to consider the picture rounds, looking for the answers and the connection. Brains tested, friends debated and ultimately team SHORS won the night. The raffle allowed many others to also win before it was time to go home. Another boisterous evening for all.
