WORKING AS A SYSTEMWhen we first sat down to develop the Pigeon River brand, we took a hard look at what was going on in the craft beer world and realized that we needed to connect with the consumers on a different level. Being a tight-knit family is a huge part of the Pigeon River brand and with every family comes a slew of inside jokes. We’ve incorporated subtle hints towards them in each of the beer identities.
We set the goal to create a visual system that would be strong enough to stay true to the brand, yet flexible enough to leave room for future creativity.
NICE PACKAGEIt’s no question that consumers purchase with their eyes first. We created a series of packaging that works as a system to strengthen the overall appearance of the brand. We didn’t stop there because each beer has its own identity, complete with a full backstory.
Is there really a beer called Wet Willy? Why yes, yes there is.
When you have an amazing skill, it’s best to share it. When that skill involves brewing delicious beer, you’d better share it with Wisconsin. Pigeon River Brewing Company partnered with Quill and set the goal of creating a visual identity for the brewery that could match the quality of the liquid being brewed.
CONNECT AND COMMUNICATEIt’s important not to put all of your eggs in one basket. For Pigeon River Brewing Company, we use a healthy combination of traditional and digital outlets to communicate with current and potential customers. A robust communications plan keeps everyone on track and in tune with the brand.
GET SOCIALOne of the cornerstone platforms that we use to connect and communicate with Pigeon River‘s customers is social media. We develop and update content frequently to engage the audience and keep them craving Pigeon River products.

PROGRAM COLLATERALOur goal is to ensure that every piece of marketing material created represents the organization in the best light possible. We work with the staff at Greater Oshkosh to develop collateral that will strengthen their message and programming.
STAY IN THE LOOPClear and open communication between a company and its customers is one of our biggest recommendations. In the case of Greater Oshkosh, we work collaboratively each year to develop their Annual and Mid-Year Reports. Our ability to pair visually appealing infographics with clean layout showcases the impact of the corporation.
MISSION IN MOTIONThe needs of our clients often stretch beyond traditional print media. For Greater Oshkosh, a series of promotional videos was the ideal way to share their story with the community. Interviews, testimonials, and supporting footage came together in a stunning 4k video to showcase the success of the corporation.
INDUSTRIAL PARK FLYERSOne of the main objectives for Greater Oshkosh is business retention and expansion. With the commercial real estate market constantly changing and evolving, we developed a visual resource to simplify the overwhelming marketplace. A printed and digital collateral piece was created for each industrial park, complete with a full visual representation of existing businesses, vacant buildings, lots, assets, and resources.

JLTV ACQUISITION PROGRAMQuill initially provided graphic and messaging support for the JLTV proposal response. At the close of this program, we also assisted in developing a new system for Oshkosh Defense proposal production. This system paved the way for a new business model that has infused Quill into the Bid + Proposal department and offered us the opportunity to assist with numerous domestic and international proposals.

For 100 years, Oshkosh has designed, tested, and manufactured a robust portfolio of heavy, medium, light, and highly protected military vehicles and technologies to support the U.S. Armed Forces and its allies.
PHOTO RETOUCHINGIn early 2015, Defense Marketing experienced a void in qualified resources to develop hyper-realistic imagery of vehicles in-theater. We were asked to assist in developing imagery for the online library and advertising usage. Since then we have established ourselves as the strategic partner for photo manipulation, photography direction, and conceptual development.
CLEAN AND CONSISTENTThrough our comprehensive work within the Bid + Proposal department, we have established a relationship with Oshkosh Defense Marketing. The main objective is to elevate the pre-existing Defense brand and establish consistency through strategic collateral. Our brand-focused, modern, and detail-oriented design style has allowed us to develop numerous collateral materials including bulletins, manuals, books, and presentations.

MORE THAN JUST BUSINESS CARDSOne of our sayings at Quill is that your business card should be so good that no one will ever want to throw it away. When designing the business cards for Ambassador Travel, we addressed both the look and feel of the card. We developed an extensive system of icons for the brand and tailored each card with icons pertaining to the staff member and the services they specialized in.
Not only did the cards carry a new look but they were produced on extra thick stock and coated with soft-touch, making them even more enjoyable to experience.
