BERNE

The historic old town in the center is a UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and Bern is ranked among the world’s top ten cities for the best quality of life. One of its most famous sight is the Zytglogge, a medieval clock tower with moving puppets. The Swiss capital is named after bears (Bären), featured on the city’s flag and coat of arms. Living bears have been kept in Berne since 1513.

LUTRY

A small medieval town with great historical importance. The well-preserved heart of the town, with its narrow streets and numerous merchants’ and noblemen’s houses dating from the 15th to 18th centuries, are under a preservation order. LUZERN

Luzern has long been a destination for tourists. One of the city’s famous attractions is the Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke), a wooden bridge from the 14th century. Lucerne’s has the most loveliest Old Town Squares, passing historical, fresco painted buildings bordering the old city on the right bank. Spiez is a small, quaint little town (pop 12,500) on the south shore of Lake Thun. It has a wonderful medieval castle and offers spectacular views across the lake. The local wine, called “Spiezer”, is an excellent choice with your meal. It is produced from the vineyards around Spiez and is available in white or red.
