• Activity of providing services to any population who might not otherwise have access to those services
• In case of the armed forces simply to the civilians
• Two types of approaches :- 1. Individual outreach 2. Group outreach
INTRODUCTION
1. The groups providing it are not stationary , but mobile , in other words they are meeting those in need of outreach services at the locations where they are present.
2. In addition to delivering services , outreach has an educational role , raising the awareness of existing services.
3. Non profitable program
COMPONENTS
1. Domiciliary(undertaken at individual homes)
2. Detached(undertaken in public environment and targeting individual)
3. Peripatetic(undertaken in public or private environments and targeting organizations rather than individual)
4. Satellite(where services are provided at dedicated site)
Types of outreach program
• Gave tuitions for a month to 26 Kashmiri's in Bara mullah sectors and distributed study material and stationary for free
• NCC gives weapons and certain basic training for the army
EDUCATION
• Schools and colleges that enrolls civilians• Examples :-• Sainik school (25 IN NUMBER)• Military school(• Rashtriya Indian Military College• ACMS (DELHI)

• Conduct various expeditions and adventure camps where civilians can apply like

EXPEDITIONS
• Armed forces has conducted many rescue operations at times nationally and internationally• Few examples of the rescue operation during the
natural calamityOperation Madad by Indian navy during 2004
Tsunami and operation Sea waves by Indian Navy and IAF in Andaman & Nicobar Island

• International examples for helping during natural calamity
Nepal earthquake 2015 a joint operation done by IAF , Indian Army and NDRF(operation Maitri)
Tsunami in Sri Lanka in the year 2004
RESCUE OPERATIONS
• operation Raahat carried out by Indian air force , Indian navy and air India evacuating in Sanaa , Yemen around 4640 Indians and 960 foreigners from 41 different countries• Operation Sukoon by Indian navy evacuating Indians ,Sri Lankan and
Nepalese.
EVACUATION
• INDIA is the largest troop contributor to UN mission since inception• So far 43 peacekeeping mission 1’80’000 troops contribution• Some Examples are :-South Sudan Congo Lebanon
