Club Members,

I would like to start out by thanking all the

officers, board members and members that

made 2013 such a great year for the “Corvettes

of the Bay” club!

Looking ahead already to 2014 Corvette year,

there is a lot of member input for new runs and

events. The more we all put into the club the

more we will get out of it in return. If you have an

idea or destination for a run or event, please don’t hesitate to step

forward and let us know.

With most everyone’s Corvette stored for the winter, I still hope to

see you at the monthly meetings, it is from the meetings that most

events are planned and organized, even in the snow months.

Planning now for the spring chili cook-off and bowling event, any

other ideas for winter month events are very welcome to keep the

membership active in the off season.

Watch the website and Facebook for any last minute events or

activities and just think in 5 months the Corvette can enjoy the

road once again after the winter hibernation.

shirts available for $12 each. You can

purchase at monthly meeting or send me an

email with size and I will work out the

Monthly Meeting Minutes - November 5th, 2013

President Mike Cropsey called the meeting to order at 8:07pm at Wally’s Spot with approximately 52 members present. Mike requested that all cell phones have their ringers turned off. He mentioned that the previous meeting’s minutes were on the back side of the agenda. Any corrections should be reported to any of the officers.

Harry has another car project and as a result has parts for a 2004 for sale.

The dinner run to the Black Otter had about ten cars participating. There were 19 members there and they took over most of the bar area.

Treasurer’s Report: All bills have been paid. The 2013 membership total peaked at 218. Registrations are now being taken for 2014.

Cars Shows: The Muscle Cars and Corvette Nationals will be Nov. 23 & 24 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Chicago (5555 N. River Rd, Rosemont, IL 60018). There will be a car and motorcycle swap meet on Feb. 23, 2014 in greater Milwaukee. More details will follow.

The Fall Run to Chippewa Falls had 22 cars participating. A very good time was had by all.

The Halloween Party had about 30 members in attendance. The lower turn-out was probably due to the party being held on a Friday night. In 2014, it will return to Saturday night.

Elections for the 2014 officers and board members were held. Mike Hannon announced the results: President-Mike Cropsey, Vice-president-Dan Terrien, Treasurer-Karen Forehand, Secretary-open. The board members are Gerard Rajek, Gary Paul and Gary Forehand.

The Christmas party will be on Jan. 4, 2014 at Wally’s Spot: Social hour 6:00pm and dinner at 7:00pm. Anyone who chooses to participate in the gift exchange should bring a $10-15 gift, preferably Corvette related.

50/50 Raffle: $58.00 was won by Harley Skidmore. Other prizes were La Java coffee and a tote bag.

Dinner Run: Meet at 6:00pm on Nov. 21 at the Park & Ride lot off Main Street by the West De Pere Festival Foods. The dinner will be at the Out-of-Town Club north of Kaukauna.

Mike extended birthday and anniversary wishes to all members celebrating in November.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:35pm.

In an addendum to the meeting, Mike announced that Lynn Steinbrecher had agreed to be the secretary for 2014.

Winter Storage

Yes, it’s that (sad) time of the year again… Putting the wraps

on your Corvette for the winter can be a major bummer, but

follow a few simple steps and it will be ready to go as soon as

the snow melts and the temps rise in the spring: wash and

clean thoroughly, change the oil, fill the gas tank and top off

with Stabil, air up the tires (40psi or so), toss a few Downy

sheets in the engine, interior and near the tires to keep the

critters away and finish up by using a nice soft car cover.
