Maintenance Event Builder (MEB)

The Maintenance Event Builder (MEB) provides an intuitive, easy-to-use way to manage

the planning of maintenance events e.g. turnarounds, that represent individual work

packages. The MEB can help you do the following:

Review maintenance notifications

Assign notifications to revisions

Generate plant maintenance or customer service orders from the task lists in the

notifications

Assign the work

View the following:

Outstanding work requirements

Due dates

Work orders

Other maintenance planning information.

Help you examine your resource situation

MEB supports the planner by creating work packages that include outstanding

maintenance requirements for upcoming maintenance events. A maintenance event can

represent a heavy maintenance event or a line maintenance event. Once you have set up

the work package you can generate required work orders for technicians.

Based on the dates of the shutdown and priority, the planner assigns maintenance requirements (notification or WO) to the event.

MEB – Creating Work Packages for the Event


Once the work load is evaluated by operations and maintenance, the planner generates orders or assigns generated orders to the work package

The nightshift filled the column. The dayshift continued to fill the column; it flooded, and eventually led to

an accident killing 15 people.
