REPORT ON OVERBURDEN DRILL PROGRAM
Nighthawk Lake Project - Cody and Macklem Twp.Nineteen staked claims, acquired on August 21 and October 4 , 1 97^9 :,- :i and March 4, 1980 are part of a larger block of land held by ;* Pamour. These claims cover an area of Nighthawk Lake Between the north and east peninsulas as well as north of the east peninsula. The Gold Island fault which is associated with five known zones of gold mineralization is known to traverse the length of these claims. ' .;- .
Overburden drill holes were proposed to test for basal ;? A- '" till gold anomalies and to test the bedrock geophysical anomalies on which they were spotted. V ;, . ' ". - ., -,, .'.v ,:

: - The claims are easily accessible, during the winter, by skidooifrom either the Nighthawk Retreat road or the Goldhawk mine road. Holes PNH-1 to PNH-4 and PNH-7 are located at various, sites north of the east peninsula. The property consists of 19 contiguous claims, see map, numbered as follows: P532104,- P532112, P546619 - P546627, P555233.
All but one of these claims lie in Macklem Township and that lies in Cody.
Previous Work
The property currently held by Pamour has been explored previously by both Broulan Reef Mines and Inco Exploration. -i; V Broulan carried out a totalljf ield magnetometer survey In April of j j-ii ;- 1965. :"MThis indicated a series of northeasterly- trending magnetj^j^| ,; highs ^and lows. The high s^ we r e attributed to the presence of J*;^^|^:v ultramafic bodies. Diamondfdrilling was attempted (presumably f^||;; 5 in the winter of 1966) near|the mouth of the creek flowing intov^^-5^ Nighthawk Lake from Roundelay Lake. This hole, located at the ;^,?i eastern most end of the present claim group was terminated afterv*^; penetrating more than 200 feet of overburden but before reaching^; bedrock. . ; '.' ' . ': ; ;^P^V.
. ' ' - -' . -, ' -' ' ' ' '" ' ' ' ' " " ' ' ' ,/'.*^. - '' -f-f'..'
Inco Exploration was active in the Nighthawk Lake area ' * as early as 1966. They acquired the claims presently held by Pamour in 1968 or early 1969. A magnetic and electromagnetic survey were carried out in 1969 while led to several drill holes in 1969 to 1971 inclusive. Two holes were drilled to test the positive magnetic high, that traverses the claim group between the north and east peninsulas, for massive nickle sulphide zones..
(2)
Pamour Exploration has completed a total field magnetic survey, using a proton procession magnetometer, and an electro magnetic survey, using a Phoenix VLF-2. This led to the drilling of one 600 foot hole at the east end of the present claim group. This hole intersected 10' of 0.13 o.p.t. gold at a depth of ; , approximately 400' down the hole. . a v^!,
Overburden Drill Program : - v :
Nine holes were drilled either on or -south of geophysicalanomalies detected by our recent-geophysicai-surveys*-- -;*This "Was---;--- done specifically to test the bedrock and basal till causing the.-, geophysical anomaly or to test the basal till south of Known '' !^ geophysical anomalies. i : ' " T,
The overburden drill provided by Bradley BrothersLimited consisted of a Longyear L-38 drill modified for dual tube reverse circulation drilling. The drill was mounted on a skid, to reduce the total weight of equipment, thus enabling the program to be carried out with less than favorable ice thickness. The drill shack was towed by a 400 series Cat tractor and Bombadier swamp buggy hooked up in tandem on trails previously packed by the Bombadier swamp buggy. ' . . , ', .
In each hole continuous sample return was monitored and logged through the entire pleistocene section, and bedrock chips were collected 5 feet into bedrock. Once that-alay had been penetrated samples were taken every 5 feet or at every lithological change, which ever was less. These samples averaged 10 pounds each and included the plus 10 mesh pebbles and boulder chips.
Pleistocene Geology
The last glacial period saw an ice sheet advance out of north-northwest and over ride the entire Porcupine area. This Wisconsin stage of glaciation produced a basal till that ranges from several inches to 10 feet thick in places within the claim group. This appears to have been reworked slightly in places, in a beach type environment and may therefore explain the thickness of basal till found in places. A thin layer of clay was deposited over part of the claim group, followed by a sequence of sand, J gravel, gravelly till and clay rich tills. These, no doubt, are due to the presence of the Fredrick House esker a prominent pleistocene feature that lies just east of the claim group. -ri
Clay deposited in glacial lake Barlow-0jibway covers the entire area. This clay, a grey green varved material, ranges up ; to 118 feet in thickness. The greatest depth of this clay is located in the northeast bay of Nighthawk Lake at the east end of the claim group and coincides with the greatest depths to bedrock. Shallower clay and overburden depths are found in close proximity to the shorelines (Hole PNH-7) and in the area between the two peninsulas. In the latter area overburden depth and the thickness of clay gradually increase to the south and west from Hole PNH-14.

Conclusions
The area underlying the claim group appears, for the
most part, to be a simple sequence of bedrock, overlain by a, : : ,
basal till, then a mixture of sand, gravels and reworked tills,
followed by a layer of varved clay. The basal till was found to
be present in each hole and has been subjected to only a minor
amount of reworking. The basal till is therefore considered an
adequate sampling medium which will produce meaningful results.

Dear Sir:
Please find enclosed 4 duplicate copies of a cancelled cheque for overburden drilling performed by Bradley Brothers Diamond Drilling for Pamour Mines in early 1982. Two of these copies are to fulfil the request by E. F. Anderson for file 2.4721 and the other two are for the recently filed report covering overburden drilling on claims in Macklem Township numbered P532104 - 112 incl., P546619 - 27 incl.,and P555233. This latter report was completed October 10, 1982 by myself and submitted to you shortly there after.
I hope this fulfils all the requirements for the reports. Should anything else be required please contact me directly so that we can expidite the additional information to you.
Most sincerely yours
