High performance polyolDuPont™ Cerenol® is a renewably-sourced alternative to petrochemical-based ingredients and belongs to a family of high performance polyols. DuPont™ Gotalene® RS400100 % Bio-based exfoliating powderDuPont™ Gotalene® RS 400 is a gentle and effectiveexfoliating micropowder for skincare, made of 100 % bio-based ingredients. Plant sugars are transformed into nature-friendly polylactic acid resin (PLA) milled into a very fine powder. Gotalene® RS 400 combines environmental, formulations and consumers benefits. PLA is biodegradable and generates lower greenhouse gas emissions than crude oil in its production. Gotalene® RS 400 can be easily processed and stabilized in natural scrubs formulations. The regular use of scrubs with Gotalene® provides a healthier skin and anti-aging benefits.

DuPont Tate & Lyle Zemea®

Natural glycol alternativeDuPont Tate & Lyle Zemea® propanediol is the first 100 % natural glycol alternative approved by Ecocert™ and certified by the Natural Products Association (NPA). Made from corn sugar, Zemea® offers formulators many skin-friendly benefits such as no irritation or sensitization, enhanced moisturization, and excellent sensorial characteristics. Used as a humectant, emollient or natural solvent, Zemea® can be easily incorporated in formulations containing petroleum-based propylene glycol, butylene glycol or glycerin. It has been commercialized in over 200 natural and organic cosmetic and personal care formulations around the world. Environmental sustainability benefits include significantly lower greenhouse gas emissions and lower energy consumption in its production (based on LCA data).
