!! !! !!!!The!campsite!is!situated!at!a!vantage!point!from!where!you!witness!the!sun!bleed!into!a!glorious!sunset!every!evening.!!A!better!option!is!to!climb!the!hill!behind!the!campsite!for!an!even!more!majestic!view!of!the!sunset!and!the!sparsely!vegetated!landscape.!!!Once!on!top,!our!team!member!will!set!up!a!table!and!comfortable!chair!for!you!to!sit!and!enjoy!this!magnificent!view!while!sipping!a!sundowner.!!!!

!! !!!As!the!sun!fades!away!in!the!distance,!a!pack!of!jackals!commence!an!orchestra!of!their!own!marking!the!beginning!of!their!nocturnal!activities.!!For!us,!this!means!the!beginning!of!the!campfire!around!which!all!the!evening’s!activities!take!place.!!Our!cuisine!for!dinner!is!primarily!Rajasthani!barbeque!with!old!family!game!recipes.!!As!foodies!themselves,!your!hosts!personally!prepare!the!barbeque!and!a!lamb!curry!with!an!invitation!for!you!to!participate!in,!or!just!observe!the!process.!!A!well!stocked!bar!ensures!that!you!are!always!in!high!spirits!!!!

!!!!Morning!“Chai”!is!brought!to!you!at!your!tents!when!you!awaken.!!We!do!not!have!fixed!timings!for!any!activity.!!It!is!you!who!is!on!holiday!and!therefore!we!go!by!your!timings!!!At!a!time!designated!by!you,!your!breakfast!is!served!in!a!completely!outdoor!setting!and!it!not!uncommon!to!watch!antelope!grazing!in!the!vicinity.!!

!Dinner!at!the!Overlander!Camp!consisting!of!barbeque!chicken,!fresh!water!fish,!cottage!cheese,!all!marinated!to!perfection!and!then!grilled!and!served!hot!straight!from!the!“fire”!!!The!lamb!curry!is!fiery!hot!with!flavourful!spices!and!a!tantalizing!aroma.!

!!At!the!Overlander!Safari!Camp!we!have!chosen!not!to!generate!electricity!so!that!we!can!keep!the!remote!ambience!intact!and!to!not!add!noise!and!air!pollution!that!comes!with!it.!!We!use!natural!lighting!with!lanterns!and!fire!lamps.!!The!lights!in!your!tents!are!powered!by!rechargeable!car!batteries.!!It!is!our!endeavour!to!keep!our!campsite!as!natural!as!possible!with!minimal!modifications!to!the!environment.!!We!believe!in!sustainability!and!that!this!is!the!only!way!to!go!forward!and!maintain!complete!harmony!with!nature.!!!
