What is an Oxygen Concentrator?

A medical device that produces oxygen on demand. This minimizes the user’s dependency on costly and cumbersome liquid or cylinder oxygen systems.

How does it work?

Air is a mixture of gases, 21% oxygen, 78% nitrogen, 9% argon, and 1% other gases. Air is supplied to the oxygen concentrator by an internal compressor. A regenerative adsorbent material removes the nitrogen from the air and delivers up to 95.5% pure oxygen to an internal mixing tank. The oxygen is withdrawn from this reservoir for use by the patient at the prescribed liter flow.
