Bakgatla Ba Kgafela PTY LTD is applying for authorisation for the conversion of their prospecting right to a mining right. The proposed mine development is situated 5km south of the town Northam and 68km north of Rustenburg town within the Thabazimbi Local Municipality in the Limpopo Province on the Remainder and Portions 1, 2 and 3 of the farm Nooitgedacht 11 JQ. The mining activities will entail opencast mining of iron ore and the construction of associated infrastructure such as a benefi ciation plants, residue stockpiles & deposits, transportation infrastructure, workshops and administrative facilities.

The proposed development requires an Environmental Authorisation and a Waste Management Licence from the Department of Mineral Resources and a Water Use Licence from the Department of Water and Sanitation. Daarom moet ‘n dokter ingevlieg word. Met boor en breek sal ‘n oordrom en kanaal gekonstrueer moet word, maar die senuwees kan maklik beskadig word. Boonop is daar ook die plastiese chirurgie. ‘n Gehoor apparaat sal deel vorm van die operasies. “Dit lyk nie of ons mediese fonds, Platinum Health, díe kostes gaan dek nie,” sê Beualah.Prof Butow sê die minimum kostes verbonde aan hierdie prosedures sal ongeveer ‘n minimum van 200 000.00 Pond beloop. Dit is rofweg bietjie meer as R4miljoen.
