DIRECTIONS TO CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL

A - FROM THE WEST ON I-20/ I-59Take I-65 South, bearing to the right at the major junction before reaching Birmingham.Exit I-65 at the 4th Avenue South Exit. You will be traveling East on 4th Avenue South.Turn right onto 14th Street South.Go three blocks. Turn left onto 7th Avenue South.The parking deck entrance will be on your right immediately after you pass under the crosswalk.

B - FROM THE NORTH ON I-65Exit I-65 at the 4th Avenue South Exit.Turn right onto 14th Street South. Go three blocks.Turn left onto 7th Avenue South.The parking deck entrance will be on your right immediately after you pass under the crosswalk.

C - FROM THE EAST ON I-20/ I-59Take I-20/I-59 West into Birmingham.After the 22nd Street North Exit in Downtown Birmingham, move into the far left-hand lane.Bear left onto I-65 South. Move into far right lane. Exit I-65 at the 4th Avenue South Exit. You willbe traveling East on 4th Avenue South.Turn right onto 14th Street South. Go three blocks.Turn left onto 7th Avenue South.The parking deck entrance will be on your right immediately after you pass under the crosswalk.

D - FROM THE SOUTH ON I-65Take the University Boulevard/8th Avenue South Exit. You will be going East on University Boulevard.Turn left onto 14th Street South.Go one block and turn right onto 7th Avenue South. Go two blocks.The parking deck entrance will be on your right immediately after you pass under the crosswalk.

E - FROM THE EAST ON U.S. 280Take Highway 280 and exit to the right onto Highway 31 North to Birmingham (also called theElton B. Stephens “Red Mountain” Expressway).Exit right at the University Blvd./8th Avenue S. Exit.Turn right onto University Blvd. Turn right onto 18th Street South.Take the first left onto 7th Avenue South. Go one block.The parking deck entrance will be on your left across from Children’s Hospital.

Parking InformationED:Children’s offers valet parking to Emergency Department visitors.The Emergency Department is located off 6th Avenue South. Thisis a FREE service and tipping is discouraged.

7th Avenue:If a patient is admitted, Children’s offers free parking in its 7thAvenue Parking Deck. The 7th Avenue Parking Deck is locatedbetween 15th and 16th Streets South across from the mainentrance to Children’s Hospital and is for patients and visitors. Oneparent/guardian per patient may park in the deck at no charge.The offer is good during visiting hours (9 a.m. - 9 p.m.). Vehiclesshould enter the deck at the gate and get a ticket. Tickets must bevalidated/stamped by the parking cashier in the main lobby or atother designated areas (i.e., clinics). Guests should be prepared toprovide the child’s full name and the area where treatment is beinggiven.

The maximum parking fee for validated parking tickets is $4. Themaximum for non-validated tickets is $10.

There is a parking attendant on duty at the 7th Avenue ParkingDeck, Monday - Friday, from 7 a.m. - Midnight.

The parking cashier is on the second floor of the Hospital lobbyand is on duty seven days a week from 8 a.m. - 9 p.m. If youplan to exit the Parking Deck after midnight, please be preparedto pay $1 (dollar bills or quarters only).

5th Avenue:For high-top van or oversized vehicle parking, plan to park in theChildren’s Park Place Deck on 5th Avenue South. The entranceto this deck is at the corner of 16th Street and 5th.
