RESOLUTIONCONGRATULATING AND COMMENDING THE PHILIPPINE DELEGATION TO THE 15TH

INTERNATIONAL MATHEMATICS CONTEST FOR WINNING 27 GOLD MEDALS, 54 SILVER MEDALS AND 108 BRONZE MEDALS HELD LAST AUGUST 2-5, 2019 IN

SINGAPORE

WHEREAS, the Philippine Senate has, on numerous instances, given

recognition and commendation to exemplary Filipinos for their contribution in

bringing pride and honor to the country by winning in international competitions:

WHEREAS, during the 15th International Mathematics Contest (IMC) held from

August 2 to 5, 2019 in Singapore, the Philippine delegation won 27 gold, 54 silver

and 108 bronze medals, as well as 80 merit awards for a total of 269 awards;

WHEREAS, students from 15 different countries and territories such as

Australia, Bulgaria, China, Hongkong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Mexico,

Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam participated in the

said competition:

WHEREAS, by winning these various awards, the Philippine delegation has

made our country proud and have proven to the world our potential for excellence,

especially in the field of Mathematics and its various applications:

WHEREAS, this outstanding performance by the Philippine Delegation

deserves to be commended for the honor and recognition they have brought to the

country:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, for the Senate of the Philippines to

congratulate and commend the Philippine Delegation for winning 27 gold, 54 silver

and 108 bronze medals, as well as 80 merit awards for a total of 269 awards at the

International Mathematics Contest held last August 2-5, 2019 in Singapore.
