2. Setting up for remote video assessmentOverview
This guide explains how to take part in a remote video assessment of your skills in the unit AHCLSC302A Construct landscape features using concrete. Instead of visiting you at your workplace, your trainer/assessor will connect with you via their computer at Holmesglen. You will use the video assessment kit to demonstrate your skills ‘live’ to your trainer/assessor, who can then give you immediate feedback.
Planning for your remote video assessment
It is important that you plan your remote video assessment with both your trainer/assessor and your employer so that you all know what will happen and when.
You will need to talk with your trainer/assessor about:
what they would like you to demonstrate in the assessment
scheduling a date and time for the assessment.
You will need to talk with your employer about:
the assessment date and time, to make sure it suits them too
setting up any equipment and materials you will need for the assessment
assisting you with setting up and operating the video assessment kit.
Remember to contact your trainer/assessor if you need to change the date or time of the assessment.

What the trainer/assessor does
Your trainer/assessor can give you immediate feedback on your demonstration over the phone.
If they assess you as ‘Not yet competent’ (NYC) they may ask you to do some more practice before being assessed again.
