Way back in September 1999 a group of twenty people keen to Exercise and learn more about a Healthy Lifestyle first met and P.A.C.E. was formed. Some are still coming and we welcome them back along with all other Members on the 18th September. We are pleased to have been able to keep the cost to £20.00 plus £5.00 Membership Fee, totalling £25.00. to pay please. The YELLOW group will Exercise first with the changeover date being the 30th October.
PACE Plus This holiday Exercise programme ran for five sessions during the first part of our Summer break and was again well attended. Thank you Alwin for arranging it.
Annual General Meeting Our 2015 A.G.M. will be held on Friday, 6th November at 1.30pm in Room 16. We will be asking for nominations of Members to serve on the Committee for the coming twelve months in early October and hope you will offer your services this year please.
Grant Applications We are pleased to acknowledge a successful outcome from our applications for funding submitted earlier this year. From the
we have been able to purchase some smaller equipment items and to replace others. With the
grant the cost of Speakers will be covered for the coming year. It is also planned to apply later this year to The Yapp Charitable Trust for some core funding for the next three years so wish us luck!

With a lot of help from Daniel Swift from South Staffs Community and Voluntary Action Pauline and myself have produced a new website and now we want comments please from you on how it may be improved.
Community Safety Day
Staffordshire Fire & Rescue and
South Staffordshire ageUK are offering a Free Community Safety and Wellbeing Day on Thursday 1st October 2015 in the Haling Dene Centre from 10am to 2pm. We have arranged to have a stand promoting our organisation and hopefully it will attract a few new members. Do please visit and share the events planned – Seated Exercise, Cookery Demonstrations, Walks, Home Safety and Fire Prevention advice, Dementia Friends, and more.
Computer/Tablet and Ipod Assistance Courses Penkridge Library are offering a six week course starting Tuesday 3rd November 2015, 9.30 to 11.30 on Computers and 12pm to 2pm on Tablets and Ipods. The cost will be minimal. Please register your interest by ringing them on 01785 712916 and telling them of any particular area you are keen to learn more about.
In Loving Memory A standard Rose Tree and a plaque were planted in the front border of the Haling Dene Centre on the 15th May in memory of our past Chairman, Howard Stemp. Present and past members plus invited guests and Christine, his widow attended.
Dates for your Diary The Brownhills Musical Theatre Company present from the 4thto the 7th of November at The Prince of Wales Theatre, Cannock. See Ros to book. Drop-In Police Surgery with PCSO Andy Poxon. The September surgery will be on Saturday, 12th September, in St. Michael’s Church from 10am to 12 noon alongside the weekly Church Coffee morning. Medical Practice The next quarterly meeting is scheduled for Monday, the 19th November 2015 in room 11 of the Haling Dene Centre at 7pm. All patients welcome. PACE Christmas Lunch The Bridge has been booked on Tuesday, 8th December, for our festive event. See you there!
