Forget unsightly cabling and installing conventional duress buttons and note-clip devices - instead use a PC keyboard to signal a critical situation. Pacom’s revolutionary RTUSignal application makes this a reality. RTUSignal essentially converts an ordinary PC keyboard into an alarm transmission device. It enables the computer user (e.g. bank teller) to signal/communicate an alarm situation, such as a hold-up, via the use of user-definable hot-keys (e.g. CTRL+ALT+X). These hot-keys are transmitted via the LAN/WAN to one of Pacom’s intelligent alarm panels which, in turn, sends the alarm to a GMS workstation and/or a third party central station for emergency response. If required, a text message (SMS) can also be sent in response to the alarm. Pacom’s advanced high level interface enables the RTUSignal application to transmit alarms via the network and be received by the appropriate field controller. Once enabled, each Pacom field controller supports up to 16 RTUSignal applications which can operate simultaneously. RTUSignal runs as a background task and is discreetly disguised in the system tray. For added security, all alarm data is encrypted to prevent tampering, and password logon is required by the application when it first connects to the Pacom field controller. OVERVIEWWouldnt it be convenient if a series of keystrokes entered into a Windows PC

keyboard could be used as a way of communicating alarms? Forget unsightly

cabling and installing conventional duress buttons and note-clip devices - instead

use a PC keyboard to signal a critical situation. Pacoms revolutionary RTUSignal

    application makes this a reality.

RTUSignal essentially converts an ordinary PC keyboard into an alarm transmission

device. It enables the computer user (e.g. bank teller) to signal/communicate

an alarm situation, such as a hold-up, via the use of user-definable hot-keys

(e.g. CTRL+ALT+X). These hot-keys are transmitted via the LAN/WAN to one

of Pacoms intelligent alarm panels which, in turn, sends the alarm to a GMS

workstation and/or a third party central station for emergency response. If

required, a text message (SMS) can also be sent in response to the alarm.

Pacoms advanced high level interface enables the RTUSignal application to

transmit alarms via the network and be received by the appropriate field

controller. Once enabled, each Pacom field controller supports up to 16 RTUSignal

    applications which can operate simultaneously.

RTUSignal runs as a background task and is discreetly disguised in the system

tray. For added security, all alarm data is encrypted to prevent tampering, and

password logon is required by the application when it first connects to the Pacom

    field controller.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONSREQUIREMENTSRequires Pacom 1057/1058/8001 field controller firmware versions. Consult your local Pacom representative for most recent firmware version available.
