NEW DELHI, Feb 26:

The corporate espionagecase today reached the doorstepof Environment Ministry as ahigh ranking official’s personalsecretary was among two per-sons arrested by the police heretoday.

“Jitender Nagpal, PS to JointSecretary in Forest andEnvironment Ministry and VipanKumar, PA to a UPSC memberwere arrested,” JointCommissioner of Police (Crime),Ravindra Yadav said. A total of 16people have been arrested in con-nection with the two FIRs by theCrime Branch so far.

The two arrests today are inconnection with the second FIRin which five people werenamed earlier including LokeshSharma, an energy consultantwho was apprehended onMonday by the Crime Branchbusting the second module inthe corporate espionage case.

“Nagpal is a resident of westDelhi’s Hari Nagar area and hetoo was connected to LokeshSharma,” he added.(PTI)
