Greetings Brothers and WOTM: I would like to thank everyone that helped out in our annual Christmas Eve Event of Feeding and preparing the food for THE NOT SO FORTUNATE PEOPLE at Hemming Plaza Christmas Eve Morning. Steve and Terry Brown take a huge part in this event, buying the food and then putting together a team early Christmas Eve Morning making the sandwiches and getting food ready to pass out around 10:00 AM Christmas Eve morning. Thanks to Steve, Terri, Johnny, Yvonne, Jerome, Pete, James, Lynn, Leah, Jim and his group, Mary and her group, Bob and Faye and anyone’s name I did not mention here. It did all our souls well down there Christmas Eve Morning handing out those sandwiches, chips and cookies to those unfortunate ones down town. Thank you all so much for putting this very good deed together on Christmas Eve Morning. The Board of Officers at Mandarin Moose Lodge 42 are happy to report to Membership that our LOOM members total are at 800 members as of 12/20/2015. We have not seen this amount of growth in LOOM at our Lodge in many years. We need around 35 new members to become the largest Lodge in North Florida so the push is on to meet this gain and we ask all of you to make every effort to sign up a new members now. And the Board of Officers want to thank each and everyone one of you that have signed up new members to meet these numbers and help our Lodge grow. Let’s get these members in here and get them signed up so we can be NUMBER ONE! WE CAN DO IT! The Board of Officers would like wish everyone a safe and Happy New Year. We invite you to come out and enjoy your Lodge and your fellow members. We are constantly making improvements to the Lodge and the surrounding areas to make it a safe and more enjoyable atmosphere for our members and guests to enjoy.

SENIOR REGENT’S RAMBLINGS? Thank you to all that have offered their time to help out in the Lodge. The holidays were crazy!!!!! Especially wanted to say Thank you to those that helped out at the Christmas party for Moosehaven and the Kids party that turned out awesome. We welcome all the volunteers that offer their time. A Special Thanks goes out to Terri Brown for her time and love for the Children's Christmas party. Our year is over half way and now it is time to start thinking about our elections. If you are interested in running for any of the positions please turn your name into one of the Officers that are currently on the Board or

into the locked WOTM box. The positions that are available are Senior Regent, Junior Regent, Secretary, and Treasurer. You can research the position responsibilities on the International website. In January, Moosehaven will be here on the 8th. We look forward to everyone coming out to join in the dancing and dinner. Please come out and support our events. We will also be having our breakfast on the 4th Sunday this month. There will be an additional dinner served on the 15th. Green Cap ceremony will be held on the 16th. All the co-workers are invited to a meeting and see what the WOTM are all about. Not only do we help Moosehaven and Mooseheart, we also have other charities that we support. It is really a good feeling knowing there are people and organizations that we can help. Our meetings are always on the 1st and 3rd Thursday nights of each month at 7pm. Any WOTM member in good standing is more than welcome to come join the meetings. The Chapter Officers meeting is Monday at 7pm prior to the Planning meeting of every month. Please keep in mind that all written proposals need to be turned in prior to the officers meeting for them to be addressed in a timely manner. Please check the Moose Tracks calendar for all the upcoming lunches, dinners and planned events. Again THANK YOU to all the help to make this Chapter a success.

PRELATE’S PEN√ Timmy Veitor and Bryan Taylor passed away. Memorial Services at the Lodge will be announced after the Board of Officers meeting on January 5, 2016, through email and Moose Lodge 42 Facebook page. Both Loyal Order of Moose sanctioned services will be in January. Pray for the friends, family and loved ones of these fallen Brothers. They are already missed and will always be. MOOSE RIDERS√ Happy New Year Everyone!!! Hope everyone had a great Holiday season and is ready for the upcoming year. Our Mandarin Riders were PROUD to be presented a plaque from the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranch for our contributions. This was presented to us at the Turkey in the Ground event which was AWESOME as always. Thank you all that attended. There will be a formal presentation in February by the Sheriff at a District meeting. We’re happy to make a difference in a child’s life and what better way than to help the Boys at the Ranch. I just want to mention that the Riders hosted the Moosehaven Christmas Bingo for the Residents on December 19

th and the turnout was

phenomenal…Residents had a really good time and want us to make it an annual event…A big thank you to all my Moose Riders who came out and made this event so successful and to the Lodge Members that donated Christmas cookies… and a BIG TY to Fred Baker and his wife as Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus. We also joined together with the JAM Car Club to assist them in helping a needy family here in Jax. Linda’s daughter, Michelle is affiliated with the Club and asked the Riders to join in. And our own Santa Fred will join us also. It was a BUSY day between these 2 events. In January (date TBD) the Riders will be going to the FSYR Boys Ranch to bring Christmas cheer to the Boys (and future Girls)…Kohn house is being converted into a “sibling” house that should open in January and we look forward to visiting and meeting the new Residents as well as our current Boys. All Moose Members are invited to come along with us. It’s a GREAT time as always. We also continue to do our monthly donation to the Mandarin Food Bank to support our community. I also would like to thank Bob and Faye for doing the shopping for the Angel Tree. We’re thrilled to make two little ones wishes come true. Great job, Bob & Faye. Again, all that we do is made possible by Moose members coming out and supporting our Bingo (all profits go to charity), so if you haven’t already done so, come on out on a Wednesday at 7 p.m. and try your luck, and you may even have some fun!!! We have a great crew and Sam and Linda are doing a fantastic job calling the numbers. A special TY to Sam for stepping up to the plate for the Riders.

December has come and gone and what a great month it was. Back with us were our DJ’s Diamond Dave. Karaoke Joe, Rockin’ Rich and Tony Cortez. We had a new DJ Bryan joining us last month as well, Our Moosehaven guests were back with Downtown Brown providing the music. There were some great nights at Open Mic Mooseic Night with Dan Lopes. And last but not least was our New Year’s Eve party with a great band, Contraband was here that night. January is ushering in a brand new rockin’ New Year. DJ’s Karaoke Joe, Diamond Dave, Rockin’ Rich and Tony Cortez will have the songs for you to sing and will playing the music you want to dance to. We have a couple new DJ’s joining us this month, come out and welcome, Sandy and also Wanda. Open Mic night with Dan Lopes will be back as well. We also have two great new bands this month. One of the premier country bands in Jacksonville will be here. The Chris Tyler Band. And the band Hard to Handle with Lisa Dardis and Vonya Arcusa will be with us for the first time. What a great time we are having here at 42, singing and dancing with all of our friends. There is always room for more so invite some friends to come have a great time. A special thank you to all the people behind the scenes who plan, build, repair, cook, serve, clean, decorate, and then un-decorate. You are greatly appreciated and we couldn’t do it without you. So make plans to join us, we are having some great times and I hope you are joining in on all the fun. Thanks to all the wonderful people who support entertainment. We’ll see you at Club 42. Let the good times roll………………
