NZ dislodge India from top spotin ICC Test team rankings
DUBAI, June 13:
New Zealand today dislodgedIndia from the top spot in the ICCTest team rankings after theirseries-clinching win overEngland in Birmingham.
The Kiwis beat England byeight wickets to win the two-match Test series 1-0 ahead of theWorld Test Championships finalagainst India in Southamptonfrom June 18.
New Zealand, who were sec-ond behind India in the previousICC team rankings update,jumped to top spot by gaining
three rating points.The Kane Williamson-led
side now have 123 rating pointsagainst India's 121 in the latestrankings. New Zealand, howev-er, have lesser overall points of2593 from 21 matches as com-pared to India's 2914 from 24matches.
Australia are third with 108rating points while England (107)and Pakistan (94) are fourth andfifth respectively.

Swimmer Kaylee McKeownsays the death of her father 10months ago inspired her to breakthe 100-meter backstroke worldrecord today at the AustralianOlympic trials.
The 19-year-old McKeownhad a time of 57.45 seconds at theSouth Australian Aquatic Centreto improve on the previous markof 57.57 set by American ReganSmith in 2019.
McKeown's father Sholto diedlast August from brain cancer.
"With COVID and the passing
of my dad in August last year, ithas been a huge, huge build-up tothese trials," she said.
"And I have turned it into a bitof a hunger and motivationbehind me. I use it every day thatI wake up. I know it's a privilegeto be on this earth and walk andtalk. So to get up and do thattonight is not really for me but myfamily."

England endured its first Testseries defeat at home since 2014after meekly surrendering toNew Zealand in less than an hourof play on the fourth day of thesecond Test at Edgbaston today.
