madetotheParishHallkitchen.Althoughthereisstill

muchworktobedone,itiscleanerandbrighterthan

it has been in a long time. Theoverheadhood,walls

and!loorwereprofessionallycleaned.Otherworkstill

needstobecompleted.Afterwards,thekitchenwillbe

painted and the project should be wrapped upmid

Planning for a new kitchen is also moving forward.

Given the requirements of the Health Department,

BuildingCodesandthelike,aswellastheprocedural

andfundingrequirementsoftheArchdiocese,thepro-

jectwon’tcometofruitionanytimesoon.Wordonthe

streetisthatwe’regoingtobegininthefall.That’snot

evenclose!Iexpectthatitwillbeatleastthreeyearsif

not longer before we begin. Since it’s going to be a

Jesuswantsustodogooddeedseachday.Hewantsusto go out and help peoplewho are in need. As PopeFrancis said, “What matters for Jesus is, above all,reachingouttosavethosefaroff,healingthewoundsof the sick and restoring everyone to God’s fami-ly”(Homily,February15,2015).��
