Serving for a Week or a Lifetime M.O.M. has many ways that you can serve, and many of you do! Our missionary teams collaborate with our career missionaries to provide much needed services to the local communities where we serve. In 2015 alone, M.O.M. had over 20 missionary teams serving through medical/dental clinics, construction, respite care, and evangelism. M.O.M. also has opportunities to invest yourself full-time!

Staying Home! To Pray, to Give, to Encourage M.O.M. counts our "home team" as a vital part of our ministry. We have an invested team here in the US! A team who prays hard, gives faithfully.....a team who rejoices with us and who cries with us. You are an integral part of what we do in Jesus name.

Opportunities As you can see, opportunities abound to partner with Mission on the Move! Through partnership with M.O.M. lives are changed in powerful ways. Consider how you can be a part of what God is doing through Mission on the Move.

One such way you can walk alongside a child is through CHILD SPONSORSHIP. Join many of the MOM partners in sponsoring one of the precious children in Mexico, Honduras, or Kenya. We invite you to help meet the needs and offer hope to children in the name of Jesus Christ. For more information on child sponsorship go to www.missiononthemove.org or contact us directly at 912-754-3349.

Message From Steve & Hope Shearouse: Humility, Kindness, Patience, & Compassion

These are fruits that describe Ade, who with his brother, Jose were the first children to live in the boys’ home in 2002. Ade, who is 22 years old, graduated from university with a degree in special education. His decision to study special education reflects the kind of young man he is. He loves the Lord and has been a quiet leader in the home his entire life. One of Ade’s professors told Steve and Hope that Ade was one of his best students with a humble heart and desire to always do what the school requires. He said that Ade lights up a classroom with his smile and loves helping the other students who are having trouble in their studies.

Ade came from the poorest situation of all of the children who have lived in the homes over the past thirteen and a half years. His mother, a recovering alcoholic, could not care for her three children. The ministry of Mission On The Move changed her life, and even though she still struggles, she loves the Lord and appreciates what the ministry has done for her children. A couple from Georgia visited Tapachula when Ade was a senior in high school. When they met Ade, even though they spoke no Spanish, they saw a young man with a desire to make a difference in his country. MOM was blessed because this couple has paid for Ade’s college education.

Children’s lives are changed because of people like this couple who partnered with Mission On The Move.

New Missionaries - Welcome Scott Family! We are thrilled to welcome the Scott family to our Honduras team. Brian and Charity and their two teens Isaiah and Lydia joined us in Santa Elena in May. They will be directing our new children’s homes. To learn more about the Scott’s you can visit their web site at scottsinhonduras.wordpress.com. These are some of the things the Scott’s will be doing:

“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.” - Ephesians 3:20

A Message From The Executive Director: Last year went by incredibly quickly. I am not sure where it went but here we are in July 2016. We focused on financial stability, restructured our financial reports, publicized our finances in a spirit of transparency, added new churches to our partner list, reached out to friends we haven’t heard from in a while, and re-envisioned our Annual Banquet. I hope you were able to take part in our Banquet; our goal was to simply say Thank You to our supporters and partners. If you missed it, we plan to do it again in January 2017 in Springfield, Georgia.

We are so grateful for your friendship. Our lives have been impacted by so many generous supporters that give sacrificially. Our lives have been changed too by so many open hearts and lives in Honduras. Our lives in Honduras have been particularly transformed by one little girl, Genesis, the child living in our home who was found in the dump in San Pedro Sula. When Allison agreed to take her as our second child in our Gateway Home, I was not excited. I agreed because I know how passionate Allison is about foster care and how this ministry was one she has always been called to. In the year since we brought “Genny” home, I have enjoyed her so thoroughly and have totally fallen for her. I am so glad Allison agreed. God works in funny ways sometimes. He knows how to stretch us and gives us strength when we need it. It has helped me rely on Him even more! (And we so much appreciate the diapers and formula many of you have brought with you.) I am blessed to be part of this ministry with you all!
