former planting schemes, to create a stunning backdrop to the house, that is easily maintained whilst still embracing the original designer's clean lines, colour and form. A perfect house for entertaining, the reception space is balanced by four double bedrooms and two bathrooms, whilst the addition of an impressive orangery style conservatory has added a further, very inviting place to relax and enjoy the garden. Set behind high hedges, the property is approached across an enclosed, gravelled and paved courtyard, filled with spring bulbs and topiary Yew. It forms a delightful entrance leading to the solid oak 1920's style front door. A large, central Reception Hall features a fireplace with woodburner, this creates a welcoming entrance and connects to all the Reception rooms. Two separate Studies take up one wing of the house, one with French windows to the rear garden and the other overlooking the courtyard, the rooms make ideal work from home spaces but are also ideal for playrooms, hobbies or ground floor bedrooms. The Drawing Room is beautifully light with a very attractive bay window including French windows to the garden and window seats, the open fireplace includes woodburner. The Dining Room also has doors to the terrace and features an attractive period fireplace with marble surround. garage. There is a second garage for storage, a log store and store room. A yew hedge screens the tennis court at the side. A beautiful, curved oak gate set into a mellow brick wall and archway leads through to the rear terrace and the wonderful gardens set beyond the house. The raised terrace runs the length of the house, bordered by raised stone beds and leading onto a gravelled pathway that dissects two deep herbaceous borders, creating a symmetrical vista. A further, formal area of garden adjoins the Conservatory, where specimen shrubs and trees are backed by mixed, native hedging and the terrace continues, around to the side of the house, providing a lovely sheltered spot to dine or entertain. From the south facing terrace, steps lead down to extensive lawns, with mature beds and borders filled with a myriad of specimen plants, majestic trees add height and structure whilst massed spring bulbs add early colour. A circular seating area makes the most of the outlook and forms the ideal place to relax and enjoy the wonderful setting.
