    Feedback on the

    Right to Wear White Weekend

I loved the Galla Ball and the sel-confdence activities. I

think that the wonderul talks helped me think dierently

    about marriage.-Katherine, 14

I believe that The Right To Wear White retreat gave me a

deeper understanding o what purity is. I understood so

much more about my mother and learned to appreciate her

    more.-Emily Speur, 14

Why my mom should come? She is a great person who I

care or, great example or young ladies. She is the only one

who can drive saely!-Deah Jones, 12

The most un thing to do with my mom was getting

her ready or the gala ball. Best part o the retreat waseverything. The riends that I made were Kimberley.-Erica

    Dzus, 17

I think it is awesome to stay abstinent until marriage.

The RWW inspired me to go to the silvering thing which is

another course or abstinence. Except I lost my silvering..

    sshh-Christy Dzus, 16

Volunteering helped me to realize that God gives second

chances to his children by gracing his daughters with

husbands who respect their choices. He does wonderul

things through this retreat by preparing his daughters to

    embrace his sons.-Courtney Palmer, 25

I promise to live a life which is marked by purity

    and respect for all people.

I promise that if I happen to fall away from thisideal I will acknowledge my mistakes and again

    rededicate myself to this commitment.

I promise to continue growing in my knowledge

of and desire for chastity, sharing my convictions

with my friends, my family and others.

I acknowledge that true freedom and happiness

come to those who live deliberately; and so from

this day forward I accept responsibility for my

thoughts, my actions, and the way I treat others.

    Acknowledgments

This devotional wouldnt be possible without the ollowing people:

First, our amazing Lord, who put a simpleton`s (mine) hand to pen to

    share His message.

My husband, without whom this would not be possible. Not only did he

give me his love, support and patience, but his theological knowledge

    added so much!

My amazing Granddaughter, or her inspiration; and or her mom who

spent her ree time editing and ormatting all content.

Laura, the daughter o my heart, who has journeyed every step with

me rom the frst day o The Right to Wear White to writing this

    devotional.

Our awesome sons, Cory and Ian, or their support and prayer.

Trish, who started my journey to Purity.

My parents, who taught me things in their own ways.

    Introduction

This devotional has been designed or women o all ages in search

o their Purity. It is a tool to help you achieve that quest. Although

the questions indicate moms and daughters (remember, moms and

daughters o any age - it is never too late to communicate), you can

read this with a riend or by yoursel. Spend about 20 minutes together

or alone, ocusing on a topic, discussing it, making an agreement and

    then praying .

I have one suggestion that I have learned rom spending many evenings

with my granddaughter. The best time or you to get kids to talk to you

is beore bed. They dont want to go to sleep and end their day. Give it atry. Take time with your daughter(s) and you will see what I mean.

Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit withinme. Psalms 51:10 NIV

My prayer is that God will speak to you while you share this devotional

    together.

You, Not Anyone Else, is Going toMake the Final Decision!

But i serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then chooseor yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your oreathers served beyond the River, or the gods o theAmorites, in whose land you are living. But as or me and myhousehold, we will serve the LORD.

    Joshua 24:15 NIV

My frst question or you is: Why are you reading this devotional? Ill

bet I can tell you why - your mom said you had to. Im going to ask you

to take control o this devotional or yoursel and decide that youre

going to read it because you want to.

Why am I asking you this? Well, at our retreats, 90% o the girls that

come come kicking and screaming, saying they do not want to go. By

the end o the weekend 100% o the girls indicate that they had a

great time and many o them want to come back. Let me tell you why:because we have un! We show them love, we do not judge them, and

they learn something that is valuable or their lie. You may be coming

to this devotional because your mom says you have to, but it is my

desire that you will come out o it with a greater sel-worth and a

desire or more; just like the girls at our retreat.

You must realize that as you come o age, someone or something (a

group or philosophy), is going to try to set a standard o Purity or you

(or lack thereo). A standard does not mean a straightjacket. A standard

is a set o moral and social guidelines that you set or yoursel, yes

yoursel. You will have valuable input rom your amily and riends but

they cannot make you do anything. It is up to you what input you let

shape you. I pray or God to guide and direct you, or that is where it

    all starts.

    you made?

Daughters Question: What is an area in which you

struggle to make decisions (it could be what riends willthink or perhaps just not knowing what to do)?

Agreement: Write down the things you agree to do to help each

other. Yes, Mom, i you want your daughter to come to you when

she needs an outside view o a situation then you need to trust

her to speak into your lie as well.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, we know that the best place to go

or input on our decisions is to You. Help us always to seek You

What is Purity?!The Spirit himsel testifes with our spirit that we are Godschildren.

    Rom 8:16-17 NIV

For the next little while we are going to look at what Purity means. So

lets start with the dictionary defnition: Freedomfromguiltorthe

    deflementofsin;innocence;chastity;as,Purityofheartoroflife

(www.defntions.net).Now Im going to say this is way over my head,

so lets talk about it some more.

Your Purity does not go away ater you are married and have a physical

relationship with your husband. You will keep your Purity all your lie.Purity began at the day o your birth and is a git. Purity comes in

the orm o mind, body and spirit. Please know i you have given that

git away in any orm, you can claim your Purity back today. You only

have to pray and ask Jesus to recreate that git in you, and help you

to guard it rom this day orward. As we say at our retreat, Purity is a

decision frst, then ollowed by actions.

    You are a Spirit

We are made pure (holy, which means set apart) rom the inside out.

What do you think is inside o us? Yeah, okay, you are right; our blood,

water and all our organs. But there is so much more. Lets start with

our spirit. Ah, you say, Spirit. What is that? Proverbs 20:27 says

the spirit o a man is the candle o the Lord. Our spirit is where our

aith, hope, and reverence exist and where our prayer and worshipcome rom.

Our spirit is sometimes also reerred to as our heart. This is the part

o us that communicates with God. This part o us was dead at birth,

because o the inherited sin rom Adam and Eve. When we become born

again, (born again means asking Christ to come into our lives) our

spirit is connected with the Holy Spirit and it becomes alive.

Beore we are born again we are ruled by either our body (physical

Day 2our soul. Having our spirit man come into a place o dominance in our

    lie is a process.

Okay, so this sounds way too deep. All you have to remember or now

is that your Spirit connects you to God so that you can talk to him. It

is sort o like your cell phone to God; you can text or talk to Him any

    time you want.

Talk TimeMothers Question: Tell your daughter about a time when

you really needed to talk to God. How did you know when

He answered? Did you ollow His instructions?

Daughters Question: Okay fll your mom in on the most

important talk you have had with God and what His answer

was. Did you ollow His instructions?

Agreement: Fill in the blanks below to complete an accountability

statement to speak to God daily.

    We (your signatures) ____________ & ______________ agree

to spend time each day talking with God just as we would have aconversation with our best riend.

    Soul

    Body

    Spirit

    Purity is the inner intimacy

    with Gods Holy Spirit

    Isaiah 1:18

How do we keep our spirit pure?

Spend your time on the things of God:prayer, worship and reading scripture.

Believe me when I say everyone, even yourmom and dad, need help in achieving this.
