MOTOR PROTECTION CIRCUITBREAKERS UP TO 100A

The new contactors have a small footprint: 55mm forthe three-pole versions and 73mm for the four-poleversions. Rated thermal current (lth) from 70 to 115A,power terminals with double lug clamp and 4-terminalcoil. Available with two types of coil, AC or AC/DC withelectronic control and wide supply voltage range (e.g. a single coil covers 100–250VAC/DC), low powerconsumption, only closes atcorrect supply voltage, with built-in noise filter. Also available inspecific versions for DC loadswitching.

40–80A CONTACTORS IN AC3

Specific new contactors for controlling PFC capacitorsare available with 40kvar, 45kvar or 50kvar ratings at400V and a very small footprint (55mm wide). The double lug clamp terminals enable easy connectionof cables even when multiple connections are required.

40–50kvar CONTACTORS FORPOWER FACTOR CORRECTION

This new series complements the soft starter range withtwo-phase control starters from 30 to 320A, featuringintegrated bypass and a very smallfootprint. Equipped with icondisplay and NFC connectivity foreasy and immediateconfiguration, they are suitable forsimple applications thanks to theinstallation wizard, or forapplications requiring maximumperformance in terms of motorcontrol and protection. Availablein 400 and 600V versions.

ADLX SERIES SOFT STARTERS

Three-phase power input 400–480VAC, power ratingsfrom 0.4kW to 30kW, small footprint with “book” format:the VLB series is ideal for liftingsystems and pump/fanmanagement, owing to specificintegrated features such as S-curve,PID and quadratic torque control.Programming, monitoring anddiagnostics from PC via USB or Wi-Fi.A RS485 communication port withintegrated Modbus-RTU andsupplied EMC filter are also standardequipment. Modules are available toequip the drive with the mostcommon fieldbus systems, includingPROFIBUS and CANopen.

The Ø45 mm towers are supplied fully assembled withthe possibility of up to three light modulesand a sound module. Perfect for mountingon small machines, their high brightnessLED circuit ensures long-life illuminationand low power consumption.The new Ø70mm multicolouredlight modules are supplied up tothree different colours per model. In the event of two or morealarms, the multicoloured modulelights up in alternating colourscorresponding to the event.

PLATINUM SERIES NEWCOMPONENTS AND ACCESSORIES

Our range of cam switches has been further expandedto include 20A AC1 ON/OFF switches with panelmounting by means of a threaded ring (with Ø22mmdrilled hole) and snap-on fitting. Quick and easyinstallation are the main benefits of these switches. The switch is available with knob or key control.

GX SERIES ROTARYCAM SWITCHES

The switch disconnector range is further boosted by theintroduction of compact versions (54mm wide) rated for40A at 1000VDC and 32A at 1200V in the categoryDC21B. These switch disconnectors are supplied with ahandle for direct control and include bridges forconnecting the poles in series. There are also versionswith IP65 plastic enclosure.

SWITCH DISCONNECTORS FORPHOTOVOLTAIC APPLICATIONS

GA series switch disconnectors are now available up to160A AC21A. At 70mm wide, its small size enables it tobe fitted inside electrical panels with limited space.Available in three-pole and four-pole versions and withIP65 plastic enclosure in 0-1 and 1-0-2 configurations. The range of door coupling handles for GA series switchdisconnectors now includes a version with 48x48mmfront plate.

UL489 MINIATURE CIRCUITBREAKERS (MCB)

In addition to tripping under the same conditions as fortypes AC and A, these RCCBs also trip due to high-frequency leakage currents up to 1000Hz and directcurrents. They are particularly suitable in installationswith variable speed drives, UPS systems and for electricvehicle charging stations.

CLASS B RESIDUAL CURRENTCIRCUIT BREAKERS

MCBs compliant with the UL489 standard are ideal formanufacturers of electrical machinery or appliancesdestined for the North American market. They complywith the IEC/EN60947-2 standard and can therefore beused in global markets. The range covers rated currentsfrom 1 to 63A and trip curves C and D. The operatingvoltage for appliances up to 32A is 277V for the 1-poleversions and 480Y/277V for the 2-poleand 3-pole versions. Above 32A, theoperating voltage becomes 120V forthe 1-pole versions and 240V for the2-pole and 3-pole versions.

A new line of residual current device add-on blocksconnectable to miniature circuit breakers, available in 2,3 and 4-pole versions for 30 or 300mA residual currents. All models are type A for sinusoidal alternating currentsand pulsating direct currents. The rated current is 40A or 63A. Fast and functional MCB fitting in compliance withIEC/EN60009-1 requirements.

RESIDUAL CURRENT DEVICEADD-ON BLOCKS

Two new modular contactor models with 32A currentrating in two-pole or three/four-pole versions.Considerable space saving (1 module for two-poleversions and 2 modules for three/four-pole versions).Available in manually operated versions with Ith ratedcurrent of 20 or 32A.The modular sockets provide a power source near to orinside electrical panels. Suitable for 10/16A standardSchuko Italian or German plugs. Also compatible withstandard French plugswithout groundconnection.

FLOAT SWITCHES

Our range of switching power supplies has beenextensively enhanced with 48VDC versions (single-phase from 30 to 480W, two-phase 100W andthree-phase from 240 to 960W) and redundantmodules. The modules are used for redundantconnection of two or more power supplies, to increasethe reliability of the DC power supply. The redundant modules ensure perfect isolationbetween the various connected power supplies.

48VDC SWITCHING POWER SUPPLIESAND REDUNDANT MODULES

The new communicating version BCG battery chargersincorporate essential features for applications where thecharge state of the connected battery needs to beconstantly controlled. In the event of an AC powerfailure, the battery chargers are able to maintain activecommunication by drawing power from the battery,thus ensuring constant supervision even inemergencies. They are equipped with a RS485 serial communication portand can be programmedwirelessly using NFCtechnology.

BCG SERIES AUTOMATICCOMMUNICATING BATTERYCHARGERS

The range of DME energy meters for three-phasesystems has been extended with three new models. The CT-connection DME D330 and direct-connectionDME D301 up to 63A have an onboard RS485 port thatallows them to be integrated into a network of powerconsumption monitoring instruments by means ofsupervision software.The user interface of the DME D305 model features abacklight icon display for electrical measurements andscrolling text for describingconfiguration parameters anduser-customizable alarmmessages.

ENERGY METERS

Available in grey water and dirty water versions. All areequipped with internal changeover contact, which isactuated based on liquid level. High quality 3x1 typecables (3 wires of 1mm2 cross-section area) allow thefilling and emptying function to be selected whenwiring the switch. Excellent mechanical and chemicalresistance and first-rate reliability. Available in versionswith PVC or Neoprene cable in lengths of 3, 5, 10, 15and 20m. The patented version for dirty waterconsists of two watertight chambers that areinsulated from each other by closed-cell foammaterial, providing a further protective barrieragainst infiltration and high thermalinsulation.


Our line of current transformers has been enhancedwith new solid-core and split-core types. The new solid-core transformers are available up to3000A and are designated as precision transformers dueto their 0.5S accuracy class. We have also extended oursplit-core transformer offering with compact modelsand current ratings from 100A to 500A. They are supplied pre-wired with a 1m cable.

CURRENT TRANSFORMERS

ATL 800 controls load switching between two sources,whereas ATL 900 can manage three power sources andtwo tie breakers and is therefore ideal for advancedapplications. The current measuring inputs on ATL 900define the switching threshold based on the absorbedpower. The two models have a built-in RS485 port andcan manage a third control device with tie-breaker ornon-priority load management function. Closed-transition transfer switching . Theintegrated PLC logic enables theswitching logics to becustomized.Can also be programmedwirelessly using NFC technology.

ATL SERIES AUTOMATIC TRANSFERSWITCH CONTROLLERS

Automatic switching is now more reliable than everthanks to the dual power supply module. The device hastwo inputs (Line 1 and Line 2) and is able to verify theapplied voltages, identifying which one is more suitablefor connecting to the module’s output. Ideal forsupplying changeover switche disconnectors andmotorised circuit breakers.The two single-phase voltage inputs are independent,insulated and each capable of supplying the internalmeasuring circuit. Further checks arecarried out on the output voltage,enabling the correct operation ofthe device to be verified. In theevent of a fault, the red LED will lightup and voltage will be no longeravailable at the output terminals.

DUAL POWER SUPPLY MODULE

RGK4... is a compact stand-alone controller featuring anicon display with intuitive interface. The gen set can beactivated locally or by remote control. When the gen setis not in operation, the controller can be switched offwithout physically removing the battery power supply.RGK4... is also available with a three-position key forlocal or remote shutdown and starting.RGK 610 is an AMF (Automatic Mains Failure) controllerthat is expandable by means of EXP series modules.USB, RS232 or RS485communication ports can beincorporated by adding anEXP expansion module.

GENERATING SETCONTROLLERS

The Synergy software is now available in the Cloudversion! Multi-channel connections, data collation inSQL database and multi-user access via Web browser tolive pages or tables without having to install specialsoftware. Easy monitoring of the main electricalparameters of LOVATO Electric devices. The XPRESSsoftware can be used to configure all recentLOVATO Electric devices equipped with acommunication port, particularly using theCX 01 (USB) and CX 02 (Wi-Fi) dongles.The NFC app enablesLOVATO Electric devices tobe programmed usingsmartphones and tabletsby means of Android NFCtechnology.

SOFTWARE and APP: SYNERGYCLOUD, XPRESS and NFC

The Internet connectivity of LOVATO Electric products isnow enhanced by the availability of the RS485-Ethernetgateway (EXC CON 01) and 3G modem (EXC M3G 01).These devices enable the RS485 network over whichLOVATO Electric products (such as a multimeter) areconnected to interface with a LAN and a3G wireless network respectively. This makes it possible to create aconnection with asoftware, app orprogram capable ofcollating the measureddata.
