Communication and Swallowing DisordersIf you or a family member has a speech-language or swallowing impairment, evaluation and treatment by our certified speech pathologists can help. A customized treatment plan will be developed to improve the patient’s abilities and quality of life. Services are available at SLCH’s Newburgh and Cornwall campuses. Childhood Programs/Early InterventionSLCH’s Center for Childhood Programs provides services to children through the age of 5. Our certified physical, occupational and speech therapists work with your special-needs child either on-site or in the child’s home, school, daycare or other community setting. Outpatient LaboratoriesSLCH operates four convenient outpatient laboratories that offer a range of clinical tests and ample parking. Quality is our priority, and test results are available to your physician quickly. The laboratory is staffed by professionals licensed by NYSED and the New York State Department of Health, and accredited by the College of American Pathology. Most tests are conducted on a walk-in basis; appointments are required for glucose, lactose and D-xylose tolerance tests. Call (845) 458-4000 for information.

Pain Management The Kreisberg Family Center for Pain Management offers diagnosis and treatment to those dealing with chronic pain as a result of an injury or illness, including that of the back, neck, joint and complex regional pain syndrome. The Center’s board-certified physicians and other clinicians are committed to the comfort and well-being of our patients. We offer comprehensive, compassionate, progressive care tailored to relieve your pain:

Imaging/Radiology ServicesUsing the latest in diagnostic technology, our experienced and certified team of radiologists and technicians provides a range of quality imaging services at our Newburgh and Cornwall campuses, as well as through our affiliate, Hudson Valley Imaging. The HVI facility provides a separate and serene suite for women’s imaging to ensure the highest level of privacy and comfort. To expedite your care, images are sent directly to your physician via secure Internet access. SLCH has earned accreditation from The American College of Radiology in areas including nuclear medicine, CT scan, ultrasound and mammography.

Cardiac RehabilitationOur Center for Cardiac Rehabilitation is dedicated to improving the quality of life and overall survival of those with coronary diseases. A recent study of heart attack survivors found that participation in a cardiac rehab program reduced the likelihood of having a second heart attack within the next year by 17%; two years after the heart attack, total mortality decreased by nearly 50%.

You can benefit from SLCH’s Cardiac Rehab program if you have heart disease or have had a heart attack, coronary bypass surgery, angioplasty, valve repair or replacement, PTCA (balloon) procedure, or heart or heart/lung transplant. You will enjoy the camaraderie of other heart patients while you work out and will take comfort in being monitored by our friendly and professional staff. Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine If you have a wound that won’t heal, you may need the help of the experienced team at our Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine. Care at the Center includes a variety of cutting-edge treatments, one of which is hyperbaric therapy. Our multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses and other clinicians provides lymphedema management and treats conditions including diabetic leg and foot wounds, chronic bone infections, crush injuries, failed or compromised skin grafts,

radiation-related necrosis of skin and bone and other non-healing wounds. The Center is located at the Cornwall Medical Pavilion, on the grounds of our Cornwall campus. For more information call (845) 458-4512.
