Enstrip GT stripping processes are high-perfor- mance chemical strippers, which are used for se- lective coating removal in the overhaul and repair of hot- and cold-section turbine components. En- strip GT was developed specifically for the aero- space industry to selectively remove coatings and filler metals without damage to the base metal. These strippers provide an engineering process for selective removal of various coatings and brazes allowing recoating or disassembly to refurbish or upgrade hardware. PAXSTRIP 501 is a liquid additive used with nitric acid to form a solution for the rapid removal of nickel, electroless nickel, copper, zinc, cad- mium, silver, brass, lead, tin, tin-lead, tin-nickel, electroless copper, etc. from stainless steel, alumi- num, ceramic, or t i tanium substrates or plating racks. The heavy brown fuming usually associated with nitric acid strips is mitigated, plastisols are not attacked, strip rates are higher, concentra- tions of nitric acid are lower, and strip bath life is extended.
