Mr. Kumar comes from the city of Karachi, the largest city in Pakistan. He works with the Sindh Educational Foundation striving to provide free education to out-of-school children. During his Humphrey year, he wants to study the role of social entrepreneurship in promoting education through public-private partnerships in order to increase literacy.
Pakistan produces some of the world’s finest fabrics. Geometric shapes,
landscapes and flowers are common patterns, but each region of the country has its own style of embroidery.
