1- Introduction of Pakistan1- Introduction of Pakistan

Pakistan is an agricultural country and agriculture is a vital sector of Pakistan economy, people about 65% live in rural areas and directly or indirectly relating to profession of agriculture. About 25% of Pakistan total land is under cultivation. Agriculture of Pakistan accounts 21% of total GDP in the economy.

Pakistan have good natural resources for agriculture like well fertile land, natural flow of water canals from north to south, include dams, barrages, headwork, canals, and distribution channels. Indus River is wonderful irrigation system in Pakistan.

We have four seasons for cultivation like very hot, snow falls area, Tropical zone and rain fall area make it so valuable and suitable for agriculture. We have two crops season in Pakistan, one Rabi Crops and Second Kharif. Our Farmer is also very hard worker. Agro Based Industries like poultry, fisheries, dairy, and livestock also present.

We have 16 major agricultural colleges and universities in Pakistan.

our agri-fields cover with crop mostly round the year, Vegetable fields, orchids, herbal plants and agronomic crops. When crops at their blooming time, scene is so amazing & wonderful, never forgettable moments spend with this blooming. we want to explore the beauty of agi-fields.Agriculture now moves in to field of tourism and entertainment farming.

Agriculture of Pakistan and the people of Pakistan facing some challenges so I think using agri tourism idea in Pakistan we can face these.

Quality of life getting poor day by day of the people. Educated person are not interested in agricultural business. Prices of agricultural products fluctuate mostly time because there is no proper effective price

policy of government so living standard of a farmer is very low. Our farmer receive low prices of their products.

Role of middle man highly effect the farmer’s income. Traditional cultivation methods and crops A farmer socially can’t feel proud as farmer. Value addition Rapid Migration from rural to urban Create new jobs in rural area

I observe Agri tourism contributed to the stability of the agriculture and tourism industries of Pakistan. Agri tourism is one alternative for improving the incomes and potential economic viability of

small farms. Some agri tourism experiences allow guests to buy food products grown on the farm or hand-

crafted products, value addition products made by the farmers’ families; purchasing these goods

it helps another source of income.

Now the fields of agriculture moves in to tourism, well design agri fields beauty and some others Attractions can attract the community and school kids in to agri fields. Our New Generation have no Knowledge about nature.

1. Pakistan is Agriculturist’s Country, it is expected that we should know the information related to

agriculture and agri tourism.

2. Today urban children’s world has became limited in the closed door school, classes, cartoon

programs on the television, video games, soft drinks, spicy fast Food, computer, internet, and so

on, they see mother nature only on television screen.

3. Now it has become very necessary that children know the traditional way of agricultural

farming activities, and other businesses dependant on agriculture. Here children come very

close to Mother Nature and learn many new things in life.

Agricultural tourism, therefore, gives parents the opportunity to introduce their children to something

other than the city life.

My Approach about agri tourism (how this idea generate in Pakistan) 1997 I start my professional life in horticultural business after complete my master degree,

Qadir Bakhsh Farms is my own creation, as gardener I create my own world of plants, its landscape design make it possible for people’s attraction. My creative Work Make it a tourist garden as well. It not only Attract the people for plants business but also for entertainment. Now mostly people come for farms fresh feeling, some for picnic and some for Educational trip. Mean time School, college, University students also arrange some learning trips on my farm.The plant selling business and farm income increase due to these visitors. QADIR BAKHSH (name of my Grand Father) is my inspiration for this hobby.This was the back ground why I think this beautiful idea of agri tourism.I design my nursery farm as a horticultural park and open it for public, school kids and community.

Now 2009 Start and Qadir Bakhsh Farms was the most famous and well maintained nursery farms in Pakistan having good business potential for horticultural business.

About average 100 visitors come daily and also families. More than 200 trips from different schools, college and university students.

QADIR BAKHSH FARMS group is made up of hard-working employs, fun-loving, enthusiastic volunteers and include all my family who come together to plan the biggest events held at farm, now all have experience of agri events seminars, training workshop, agri field trips for school kids and community.

QADIR BAKHSH FARMS now a volunteer organization which is committed to working for awareness in society for real foods. All expenditures are bear by own.

It is successful story of my life but story was not end ,

The actual story start now

Same year I decide to spread this idea of agri tourism in all over the country because I have the vision of all problems faced by farmer how much pained full condition they have faced.

In 2010 I design this firm Agri Tourism Development Corporation of Pakistan.

Agri-Tourism Development Corporation of Pakistan (atdcpakistan.com) is a non-government ,non-profitable organization having aims connecting people through food, farms and education. We educate the consumer about organic, healthy life style, awareness about food from farm to dining table and introducing agri-tourism & entertainment farming to explore the beauty of agri fields and farm fresh feelings.On the other hand ATDC Pakistan is working as a training institute for Agripreneurs where we trained agripreneures as consumer organic style needs.

6- ATDC Pakistan Events in Pakistan

Agri Tourism Development Corporation of Pakistan design so many agri fields event in Pakistan, these all events are design and organize by ATDCP at different locations in Pakistan. The main aim of these all events are to promote agri tourism in Pakistan. We arrange these events at our design agri tourism parks/farms all over Pakistan. These events also help us to promote new agri tourism park newly open for public.

6-1 WORLD KITCHEN GARDEN DAY

Kitchen Garden Day is recognized each year on the 4th Sunday of August. ATDC Pakistan celebrate this day to aware about home growing vegetable, It is an opportunity for people of pakistan to gather in our any gardens of agri tourism farms with friends, family, and members of local community to celebrate the multiple pleasures and benefits of home-grown, hand-made foods. We arrange training class every year on this day.

6-2 NATIONAL MUSHROOM FESTIVAL PAKISTAN

We have arranged four successful National Mushroom Festival events in Pakistan. This is annual festival and can be announced any our agri tourism park.Aims and Objective :- Our aim to organize mushroom festival is to educate the consumer of mushroom and to promote the awareness about mushroom’s health benefits. So Mushroom festival provides an excellent opportunity to participants raise awareness about practical growing technology of mushroom domestic and commercial level as well. Activities :- * Training workshop * During training class cooked mushroom taste by the participants.* Distribute booklet about easy growing methods,about medicinal and nutritional values of mushrooms along with cooking recipie.* Comments from the public about improve the festival activities.* Cook your own mushrooms * Distributed gift mug or other gift items among the participants* Picture taking banner for kids attractionResult :- thousands mushrooms lover visit these festivals, about 300 peoples attended our training workshop class. question/answer section was very informative.Problems of mushrooms growing in Pakistan:- Mushroom is high in protein ,richest in folic acid, fat free cholesterol free, sodium free, good source of potassium but in Pakistan it cannot become the part of our food as compare the other part of the world.In Pakistan more than 90% people are not aware about the mushroom as food and its taste and if a few

percent people who aware about this magical food can’t find fresh mushrooms any where in market. If any mushroom lover want to grow it they have no idea for spawn and its technical know how, if any body get spawn and grow it successfully then they have no any market in Pakistan where it will sale. They will fail to market it, other hand no body know and work on value addition products of mushrooms. Aims and Objectives:-So we realize this situation and have the aims to become the bridge between consumers and producers. Our aim to organize mushroom festival is to educate the consumer of mushroom and to promote the awareness about mushroom’s health benefits,Provide the practical technology and easy way to grow mushroom domestic as well commercial growing. Provide the opportunity growers can get the spawn and when they grow provide the source of market in Pakistan and outside country. Activities:-1-Lectures about medicinal and nutritional values of mushroom , and benefits of mushroom eating.2-Mushroom festival will contain practical technology growing of mushroom domestic and commercial level. 3- Teach different cooking recipes of mushrooms.4-We also have small domestic mushroom growing farm which present as model for participants. ATDC Pakistan arranged National Mushroom Festival Pakistan every year in pakistan and committed to recognize it as mega event of pakistan. 

6-2-1 Wild mushroom hunting club and tours

Pakistan northern areas are full of valuable wild mushrooms like morel and truffle mushrooms. First time in Pakistan history ATDCP Establish mushroom hunting club which arranged wild mushroom hunting tours every years around The Murree Hills area at our designed mystic meadows. During this tour we train people how to hunt wild mushrooms and how to identify edible and non edible wild mushrooms also their characteristics and properties.

Medicinal mushrooms and their collection from wild. Its value addition, packing, branding and export.

This is a great opportunity for mushroom lovers who want to get knowledge about hidden treasures of mushrooms. If people want to join us future tour of mushroom hunting, become the member of mushroom hunting club, when you will be the member you can get so many booklets having information about mushrooms on your door step and can join us next mushroom hunting tour.

6-2-2 mushroom master cooking contest

MUSHROOM MASTER COOKING CONTEST 2015,ATDC Pakistan arrange one day mushroom master cooking contest 2015 and also having section on growing mushrooms training at ATDC Head office dated Saturday 18th April 2015.This cooking contest managed by national mushroom festival team and students on internship training of UAF at Agri Tourism Development Corporation of Pakistan Sohail iiyas, Faizan Arshad, Adnan Aslam Junaid Hafeez and Ali Hassan.

6-3 THE FARM! DINE IN NATURE

ATDC Pakistan always create opportunities for community to spend some tension free time with nature and enjoy farm fresh feelings."The Farm ! Dine in Nature " is an idea introducing for nature lovers, spend a day with your family in the field of mustard when its with full blooming. Dinning table will set in the middle of blooming field,serving organic and home made food with manner. walk ways arrange for you all around the blooming field of sarsoo, you can pick fresh vegetables, enjoy fruit orchid, flower garden and get involve farm activities.For kids its learning of nature and idea where the vegetables comes from?we also arrange camp sites and cycling tracks so people can come with camp and cycles and enjoy it.Come with jogging shoe and easy dress. people will never forget the time spend at farm. "The Farm ! Dine in Nature ".

some comes from lahore islamabad and faisalabad. really it was a great and dream day and all guest enjoyed it a lot.

6-4 PICK YOUR OWN VEGETABLE & FRUIT (U-PICK INTERPRICES )GRAPES /STRAWBERRY etc

Buy the local fruits and vegetables direct from the farm is a wonderful idea to enjoy some recreational activities with family, learning and source of low price farm products.ATDC Pakistan design some U-Pick farms for community, our U-Pick Enterprise provide inspirational experience for our guest.

6-4-1 PICK YOUR OWN GRAPES EVENT.

Our aim to organize the event Pick your own experience of grapes1- Visitors can get the idea where and how grapes growing .2- We want to decrease the role of middleman so pick your own enterprise is the idea of direct marketing ,build links of farmer and end consumer without any middleman for cheaper prices of agri-products.3- Pick your own experience is wonderful fun and entertainment for visitors.4- Our kids are not much familiars with and have no idea where the food come from?

So U-Pick Enterprise is a great opportunity for kid’s education where the food come from?5- Kids spends a lot of time playing video games, cartoon movies, laptops using, having no time for outdoor Visits, so U-Pick experience brings them in agri-fields spending sometime in nature. 6- Our Farmer can’t get good prices of their products so we call them come for new trends of agri business in local areas. 

7- We want to explore the new valuable crops rather than our traditional low outcomes crops for agriculturist community , it is a practical training workshop and model grapes farm for them .8- We also want to educate our consumers and farmers for value additions . value additions in such a way how we can use grapes making vinegar ,jam Raisin (dry grapes) etc.9- And our main aim to design such events are explore the beauty of agri fields for tourism rather than our other tourism like mountains, forest and water.Agri Tourism Development Corporation of Pakisatn arrange grapes event, this event was a training all about grapes growing, value addition and fun pick your own grapes . families invite all over. ATDC Pakistan always provide opportunity to the community come with your kids and spend sometime with nature and teach then where the food come from? people learn a lot and enjoying the time in a beautiful grapes garden. Event was organize at Rana Quoom Grapes Farms 10 Km shahkot sangla hill road faisalabd. the Owner of the farms Rana Quoom saib is very progressive farmer. this day participants not only know all about grapes growing along with having fun also having pick your own grapes experience , the day was entertainment for family but also fully educational tour...........

6-5 NATIONAL AGRIPENURES TRAINING CAMP

ATDC Pakistan aim to organize this event National Agripenures Training Camp introducing new ideas of agri business and inter connect agri related communities along with lot of entertainment and learning. We organize this event once a year at any of our agri tourism park. This year we arrange this event Ranjha Agri Tourism Park Sargodha Dist.

6-6 LOVE PARK

The idea behind Love Park people can planting a tree with name of their beloved. We mark some land at our agri tourism park as love Park. Visitors pay monthly fee for look after their plants.

6-7 WORKSHOP ON HERBAL/MEDICINAL PLANTS GARDEN

Cultivation of Herbal/medicinal plants is very profit able business, its value addition, branding, marketing, export create new jobs in agriculture sector.

Other side use of medicinal/herbal plants safe for patient also.

For Awareness about medicinal/ herbal plants and their uses, for Save the indigenous knowledge of medicinal plants, Raised medicinal plants garden and nursery, Produce materials for research like stems, leafs, flowers fruit.

ATDC Pakistan arrange event on medicinal/herbal plants every year and arrange herbal plant field visits. Pakistan Forest Institute Peshawar is our partner institute arrange workshop on medicinal/herbal plants. Participants rewards certificate after complete this workshop. Dr. Muhammad Muslim Saib Senior Botanist & Head of Medicinal Plants Garden Pakistan Forest Institute Peshawar is the focal person to arrange these workshops in future.

6-8 NATURAL SUNDAY BRUNCH

Natural Sunday Brunch is a experimental event organize every Sunday at Qadir Bakhsh Farms. Registration open for 6 days a week and served only on Sunday. Pure desi& traditional food served live cooking. Average 2 to 3 families book this brunch in summer and 6 to 7 families in winter. No of guests increase gradually.

6-9 TREE HOUSE RESORT

Tree house Resort ideal for green inn accommodation for nature lover people, this idea also help us to promote the idea of Agri tourism. Tree house is good for tourist attraction. Tree house resort idea generate income for farmer. this tree house have complete facilities of accommodation , doule bed and

for two kids beds also. fully loaded bath room, and small kitchen, two chairs, with tv troly also, 100 % weather control hut with outdoor sitting.

6-10 VILLAGE CULTURE SHOW

Agri Tourism Development Corporation of Pakistan organize this event at flower show February 2015 Karachi display some traditional house used crockery from village life and Desi , local made food of Punjab , and very unique Home Made stat of art dress from Sind culture, just show our local tradition. Our aim to organize such event to Promote village tourism and impress urban community. About 1000 people visit our stall.

7- NATIONAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE FOR AGRICULTURAL TOURISM

ATDCP establish fist research institute for Agricultural Tourism in Pakistan. Inside Qadir Bakhsh Farms 199 RB Near Gatwala Forest Park Faisalabad.Research institute Campus having 5 acers land for Research & Development (R&D) Aims& objective 

1- We have to prove and write the research papers of international standers on “Scope of Agricultural Tourism in Pakistan”.2- List the ideas of agricultural attractions and facilities offer by the agripreneur and measures its economic effects on farmer’s life and community.3- How can a farmer change his economic life by adopting agricultural tourism. 4- Measure the health and educational impact of agricultural tourism for school kids& community.5- How can help agricultural tourism to create new kinds of jobs in agriculture sector. 6- Research about Maximize local engagement and rural community in enhancing productions, value additions and marketing. 7- Research about how agricultural tourism help to drive maximum profits and specially minimize the huge difference between the consumer prices and prices that farmer received.

8- Monthly Magazine on Agritourism

ATDC Pakistan publish Monthly magazine on agritourism in our national language urdu for the farmer community and agri visitors. It will update to agri visitors coming events and share information new attraction offer by the agri tourism park/farms.Dr Khalid Mahmood Shouq is the chief editor of this news paper.

10-1 ANNUAL CITRUS FESTIVAL

ATDC Pakistan going to organize two days Annual Citrus Festival Pakistan. We have invited professors, research

workers and eminent agricultural business man, Farmers , students from all universities and civil community to join

this Citrus Festival. There will be lectures, demonstrations and workshops for die hard Agricultural Business idea

with a lot of entertainments and tourist attractions. It will be a forum to exchange and share knowledge,

experiences.

Aims &Objectives

Our aim to organize Citrus Festival to explore Sargodha Dist. as best citrus growing valley in pakistan.

Increasing the domestic consumption of citrus and its products and share ideas for value additions of

citrus.More over Citrus Festival will develop Linkages between Citrus Exporters, Citrus Importers ,Citrus

growers and citrus value addition companies

10-2NATURAL SUNDAY BAZAR

ATDC Pakistan introduce Natural Sunday Bazar in urban area for those who want to get organic food but difficult to regular farms and for those farmers who have difficulties to sell their products direct from the farms.

10-3LYALPURIAN GUR MELA

Gur is A great Alternative for white Sugar. We educate our visitors come and learn all about sugar cane process and its products , we offer all foods made of gur. participants never will forget this learning and new secret of Jaggery (gur). basically its a learning day for visitors and their kids all about process of suger cane and food made of gur. On the other hand it will generate ideational income for farmers.

10-4NATIONAL FARMER DAY

Farmers are our heroes who grow food for all community. We know our doctor, our layer but don’t know our farmer. ATDC Pakistan declare national farmer day to explore the struggle of a farmer. It will encourage the farmer in the society. It will also help to explore the struggle of a farmer, his hard working which he do for cultivating food for community.

10-5 AGRI SCOUTS

Agri Tourism Development Corporation of Pakistan going to introduce the idea of Agri scouts in pakistan. Using our youth for green revolution. students from different universities and colleges students who interested for agri scout are always welcome new volunteers! So many volunteers are needed to make the Festival an experience like no other in pakistan. We encourage you to join the fun.

Go on a Hayrides is very interesting & informative throughout Al-Bari Agri Tourism Park Site. During this travel a horticulturist speech about farm practice and other sharing knowledge about where the food come from. Hay rides cover all these farms of agriculture like fish farm, poultry farm, nursery farm, horse and cattle farm , flowers field ,vegetables field , fruits farms.
