¡ We meet once a month§ Honor a senior of the month, freshman notes for finals, candy canes before

winter break, discuss volunteer opportunities¡ We give to the school

§ Tutoring in the Student Success Center § Help with Trivia Night§ Volunteering your time with a couple other volunteer opportunities

throughout the year▪ Blood Drive, NHS Induction, College Night, Graduation, various

community events¡ We maintain our GPAs and good character

¡ If you fail to meet these expectations, you will not be honored at graduation with your NHS tassel and may even but up for dismissal

¡ be a current member of the junior class

¡ Have a 3.0 non-weighted GPA or higher

¡ have attended P.H.S. for at least a full semester

¡ Essay:§ There is a short essay discussing an experience you have had with

school or outside of school that highlights your leadership ability and a service opportunity.

¡ Extracurricular Involvement at PHS:§ You must be involved in either 3 different activities with at least one

activity being a multi year commitment▪ These activities must be affiliated with the school

§ Sponsors will verify your participation. It is ultimately up to them if you receive credit for active participation in their club.

§ Sponsors feedback is confidential.

¡ Teachers will evaluate your character based on their experiences with you

¡ You will also provide a signature of a faculty sponsor on your application. This faculty member should be able to vouch for your character.

¡ Discrepancies will be brought to a faculty committee.

¡ This process is completely confidential.

¡ Two Parts:§ Part I ▪ Fill out a Google Form for each activity and sport you have participated in.

§ Part II ▪ Complete the application (upload to Notability) and submit through

Schoology

¡ Due by 3:30 pm on Friday, February 7th

¡ Follow the instructions and complete both parts of the application§ If only one part is completed, you will NOT be considered for

membership§ If either part is not 100% complete, you will NOT be considered for

membership

¡ Submit Google forms and application on or before the deadline date, 3:30 pm on Friday, February 7th.§ This is a HARD deadline. There are no exceptions. That includes being

sick or technology issues. No exceptions means no exceptions!§ Recommendation: turn it in early

¡ You will receive a letter in the mail hopefully by spring break
