Rain fall : ranges from 140-700mm/y

Average = 517mm/y.

Total volume = 3 billion m3/y.

Evaporation = 65%, about 1900 m.m3

Infiltration 25-30%, about 800-900m.m3/y.

Surface runoff 3-5%, about 120-150m.m3/y,

Water consumption

• The occupation stolen and controlled more than 85% of the Palestinian renewable water.

• Ground water is the main available source for the Palestinian.

• Surface water from Jordan river (250 mm3/y) is controlled by Israeli occupation.

• Available water resources for Palestinians (West Bank & Gaza Strip) 280 m.m3/y, 170m.m3/y and 110m.m3/y for west Bank and Gaza strip.

West bank • Wells (domestic and agricultural) extracts about 70 m.m3/y

• Springs 40 m.m3/y.

• Purchased from the Israeli occupation (55-60m.m3/y).

• For domestic 120 m.m3/y. 65%.

• For agriculture 60 m.m3/y. 35%.

Gaza strip • Wells 110m.m3/y. about 60 renewable

• the other is over pumpage.
