We little knew the day that

God was going to call your name.

In life we loved you dearly,

In death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you

But you didn’t go alone.

For part of us went with you

The day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories.

Your love is still our guide,

And though we cannot see you

You are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken

and nothing seems the same,

but as God calls us one by one

the chain will link again.

Greenwood Cemetery

Cairo, Georgia

REPAST

The family will receive friends for fellowship and dinner

after the interment at the church's annex.

You were a very special person to me,

I wonder if people knew how special you were,

or if they could even see?

Dedicated, kind and gentle is how people will remember you.

I'll be thinking about us in the car eating hot cheetos

and drinking Mountain Dew.

You were a silent one, who never talked much at all,

But our phone conversations proved different when you would call.

You would help any stranger, you never had feelings of hate or anger.

You loved your video games and your hot wings,

I'm going to miss hearing you talk about all those things.

I will surely miss you saying "what's up cuz,"

But I will never forget you or your genuine love.

JESSICA BARNES
