What is a vertical transfer system (vertical conveyor)?A vertical transfer system is a cargo-only transfer machine with a vertical transfer path, which comprises a vertical transfer apparatus (the vertical transfer machine itself) fitted with a mechanism that raises and lowers a cargo receiver, and a lateral transfer apparatus (a loading/unloading conveyor or loading/unloading device) fitted with a loading/unloading mechanism that loads and unloads cargo to and from the cargo receiver.*This is a cargo-only device, so people may not ride it under any circumstances.

When transferring pallets (actual cargo height of 2,400mm) the Autolator [Heavy Duty] achieves a perfor-mance equal to approximately 2 cargo elevators.
Unlike an elevator, there is no legal requirement to conduct periodic inspections, which reduces maintenance costs.As transfer is continuous, the loss of energy on startup is negated. Also, the system features comprehensive energy-saving control, such as automatically stopping when there are no further cargo items to transfer. *Energy-saving control (sequential starting and stopping control): Conveyors receiving cargo are activated sequentially, and automatically stop once cargo has passed through.Forklift drivers need only load items onto the auto-assistor (automatic
loading/unloading conveyor). Operating efficiency is improved at each stage as there is no unnecessary wait time.
There is no waiting time for calling and opening and closing of doors etc., and transfer is fully automated.
In the situation depicted in the above diagram, conveyors ② ③, and ④ (with no cargo items on them) are stopped. Conveyors are activated sequentially when ready to receive cargo and stop when cargo has passed through.
Easy installation
As a machine room is not necessary, installation is easy in any building, whether new or existing. Unlike an elevator, there is no need to apply for building certification or completion inspection.

④ The control mechanism employs a highly visible and easy to operate color touch panel. It displays the operating status, and if there is a fault, the fault will be displayed along with how to resolve it, so that safety can be restored as quickly as possible.

Next-Generation ModelMulti-Floor Vertical Transfer SystemsThe Belt Hoist Type Vertical Reciprocating Transfer Machine: [Belt] Autolator is a completely new type of next-generation vertical conveyor that uses a resin belt-driven mechanism instead of a steel chain to raise or lower hoisting cages (carriages) within the main unit. There are no metal sliding parts in the main unit's hoisting section, so no metal filings are produced and no lubrication is required. Also, using the lateral transfer apparatus (automatic loading/unloading conveyor) allows for 100% oilless operation.*The belt drive roller conveyor for 1000kg cargo is a special order (custom).This conveyor uses a highly-reliable timing belt made from high-quality urethane, offering superior oil and ozone resistance.It can be safely used in locations which demand a clean environment such as pharmaceutical and food production plants that must be free of oil mist and metal filings, or in factories producing rechargeable batteries, etc.

■[Belt] Autolator Structure
MechanismThe Autolator main unit comprises a hoisting cage (carriage) conveyor with a counterweight connected by a belt which is suspended from a drive shaft sprocket. During operation, vertical transfer is achieved by raising and lowering the hoisting cage (carriage) while keeping the cargo level. The main unit's motor uses an inverter, so starting and stopping is smooth.
The [Light Frame] pursues ultimate environmental performance (resource and energy conservation) by reducing the weight of the frame while maintaining strength, reducing steel consumption by about 15% (compared to our previous models), and reducing CO2 emissions from transportation by over 25%.

Roller Type
The auto-assistor is a horizontal conveyor that is indispensable to a fully automated transfer system. Installed on each floor station of a vertical transfer system, it links up with the hoisting cage (carriage) conveyors, enabling smooth in-and-out transfer of pallets.In addition, linking multiple units together allows you to temporarily pause pallet movement and adjust operation time, resulting in a more efficient three-dimensional automated transfer line.

Energy-saving designThe auto-assistor is extremely economical, with low running costs thanks to cargo-carrying conveyors activating sequentially, as well as automatic shutdown once cargo has passed through (Takt transfer system).
■Choose from 3 automatic loading/unloading speeds of 8, 10, and 12 (m/minute).
* An automatic loading/unloading speed of 18~24m/minute (controlled by inverter) enables a 15%~25% increase in performance. (Optional)

This device automati-cally shuts down the conveyor temporarily when it detects a forklift approaching the auto-assistor. It also shuts down the auto-assistor in response to detecting personnel.
