“This  internship  is  probably  the  best  definition  of  ‘eye  opening’  I’ve  ever  come  across.  The  people  I  met  and  the  stories  I  heard  revealed  to  me  a  reality  that  I  had  only  witnessed  in  movies.  I  showed  up  at  the  Realization  Center  and  was  immediately  thrown  into  a  group  session  of  recovering  addicts.      At  first,  all  the  clients  are  faceless  people  with  similar  problems.    However,  soon  their  stories  grab  you  and,  at  some  point,  you  will  find  someone  you  relate  to,  someone  in  whom  you  see  a  piece  of  yourself.  When  this  happens  things  will  become  personal  and  then  these  people  will  start  to  grow  on  you.  I  felt  that  I  was  actually  doing  something,  actually  helping  others.  This  experience  got  me  out  of  bed  in  the  morning  with  a  smile  on  my  face.  I  loved  being  there  (I  stayed  extra  weeks)  and  I  highly  recommend  it  to  anyone  interested  in  psychology,  sociology,  or  social  work.  “    Stephen  Nolan,  2010  Intern,  MKA  ’10,  Juniata  College  ‘14

This is a wonderful opportunity for any student considering physical therapy, athletic training, sports conditioning, personal training and the orthopedic arena. 15 Bloomfield Ave., Montclair, NJ 07094 www.proactivenj.com

And  three  last  testimonials  from  interns  last  summer:

"In the summer of 2010, I interned at Covanta Energy, one of the nations largest waste to energy companies. It was an outstanding experience. For eight weeks, I had the privilege to work under their Chief Accounting Officer to observe the accounting process, compile research on industry performance and commodity prices as well as assist the internal audit team. During my experience, I learned what is expected of someone working in an office setting and gained an understanding of the skills necessary to succeed in the company. The people I worked

with were very supportive and eager to share their knowledge and insight. I gained a thorough understanding of the business through a full introduction to the manufacturing process and by working on the financial side of the company. I would recommend a summer internship to any student who has an interest in seeing what opportunities exist for them in their future."     Michael  D’Andrea,  2010  intern,  MKA  ’09,  Boston  College  ‘13      “My internship with Nadine Pierce at Kraft Foods, Inc. was a fantastic experience. I was able to talk with many people from various fields at the company and learned a lot about how a business runs. I sat in some company meetings, participated in food tests, and witnessed each step in the process of developing a product. Nadine was always accommodating and wanted to make sure each day was geared toward what I wanted to see, hear, and learn.” Brandon  Kwan,  2010  Intern,  MKA  ’11      “At Euro RSCG Advertising, I got an inside understanding of how account managers distributed their budget to maximize the objective of a campaign, leading to the advertisement of a certain product. Also, I worked in a group of interns to create a presentation to the global executive board that illustrated how we would go about a social media campaign for raising Type I Diabetes awareness (one of the company’s products is insulin for people with Type I Diabetes).” Andrew Stern, 2010 Intern, MKA ’09, NYU ‘13
