OBJECTIVES

1. To present the economic and socio-demographic profile of the residents of Brgy. Miranda, Babak, Island Garden City of Samal.

2. To determine the observations of the residents regarding the changes brought about by climate change such as the rise of sea-level and temperature, the frequent flooding, rapid changes of season and strong storms.

4. To identify interventions done by the LGU, NGO’s and other social groups concerned in terms of:– Mitigations done to lessen the impacts of climate

change.– Practices that enable them to adapt climate

change.

5. To solicit suggestions from the residents of the said barangay and from the local government on how to improve current interventions to be able to cope up with the rapid changes of the environment.

METHODOLOGY

Type of Study – this is a descriptive research using a qualitative method of data collection.

Locale – This study on effects of climate change was conducted at Brgy. Miranda, Babak, IGACOS. Specifically on the coastal areas.
