The Pancake’s History ● Immigrants flock to Northern Ontario● The Finnish Labour Temple● The Finnish Pancake is not actually Finnish… but
a Canadian creation!● Created around the 1918 in bush camps
● Typically served with fruit and not syrup due to lack of sap producing trees in the area
● Thin unlike the American’s style● Low cost to produce made it an affordable meal
for working-class people
