Introduction
Employer registration 1ststep towards insuring Employees under ESIC scheme
Eligibility
Non-seasonal factories using power & employing 10 or more persons earning
wages not exceeding Rs10000.
Non-seasonal factories using non-power manufacturing units and
establishments employing 20 or more persons earning wages not exceeding
Rs.10000.
Should fall within the scope of an implemented geographical area.
Does not apply to workers engaged in mining operations, railway running
sheds and seasonal factories as defined under the Act
A factory or establishment once covered under the ESI Act, remains covered even ifthe number of employees at any later stage falls short of the stipulated number of
10/20 employees or the manufacturing process therein ceases to be carried on with
the aid of power.

Entry Triggers
Employer becomes coverable under ESIC and registers himself online
Employer becomes coverable and upon a 3rdparty reference Inspector
conducts Survey and initiates the process of Registration
Employer submits a Hard copy of Form01 for an ESIC Official to do the
registration Process.

Application Scrutiny
Same Registration Screen is available for the DA to
Scrutinize the Registration
If the DA finds the Employer to be in a non-
implemented area DA will cancel the registration
If the DA corrects the Branch office and/or Inspection
Divisions then a letter will be sent to Employer, old and
New Branch office and Inspection Divisions.

Employer is shown the Employee registration Link. Enter
minimum 10/20 Employee details. This will get created
with IP Numbers.Format checks and Eligibility criteria checked

C11 will be printed/ Sent via e-Mail

Exceptions to normal Process
If an Employer who is registering is a Labour/Housekeeping/Security
Contractor then he has to pay 6 months advance contribution. An Interface
to F&A is created.This can be appropriated against the monthly
contributions.
Same way if an advance contribution is done and later registration is
cancelled the amount is refunded and Interface to F&A entry is created.
If the registration process is not completed within 15 days from the start of
this operation the records pertaining to that registration and the User ID will
be deleted.

Exit Triggers
Record becomes eligible for C-1 Registers
Record becomes eligible for SC-15 Register with Status as Pending
Inspection
On failed registration, If the Number of registered Employees is more than7/15 the record goes into Periodical Survey Register,
Employer registers all coverable Employees
Inspector conducts inspection of the newly covered Unit
The contribution process happens on a regular basis
F&A Interface will be populated and the F&A API will update finance records.

Introduction
Employee Registration is the process of obtaining and recording information of an
Employee to enable him/her to avail the benefits provided by ESIC.
Eligibility
All Employees earning wages not exceeding Rs.10000 per month. Wages tobe taken as defined in the ESI Act.
Disabled Employees earning wages not exceeding Rs.25000 per month (only
where %disability exceeds 40%).

Entry Triggers
Employer registers successfully and submits the Declaration Forms of all
coverable Employees online within 2 days of registration.
A new Employee joins insurable employment. The Employer submits the
Declaration form online within 2 days of joining.
Employer submits a Hard copy of Form1 to an ESIC Official to do the
registration Process.
